soldierX mate, got any pics of that vest in auscam? other than the old 90 era ones? the ones sabre posted was what i thought was the latest, but seems more just like a riot vest than a actual plate carrier. but more than happy to be proved wrong. when i was looking at ref pics for my PA units, all i could find in auscam where these older vests: but then theres pics (of the same vest that sabre showed, cant find the pic im talking about atm) that leads to suggest that these are the new vests... so confusing lol. and now in timor they really arnt wearing plate carriers any more and we arnt really deployed anywhere atm where we are using auscam vests. plenty of descam but.. any info anyone can share on this would be awesome as i myself am confused. btw really sorry to kinda side track this, so feel free to continue this via PM -

yer i plan to, got all other permissions loooong time ago, still have the PM's so thats all good, all textures are new, just will need to remove/remake the sliding doors and retractable gears.

yes the MRH90 IS the only thing, and on that the only thing rico worked on was the retracting wheels and doors, and if its that much of a problem i will remove them and redo it myself... however this will push back all release alot more, as i was planning a group pack. but meh.

thats all well and good if you want that, and if you have a large player base in that mission... here in aus our arma2 player base isnt what it is in the states, so its hard for us to get 40+ people in for one organised personal mission. which is what you would need to have a strong fighting force on the ground + transport/airsupport people doing their jobs, i think their should atleast be an option between something like the old ACE way, and the super duper uber realistic casuality system. -
yer i know they've been renamed, just couldnt remember it properly and everyone knows who 4RAR are so :P unsure on patches atm might just try to find a generic patch, if any1 has any please show lol. like a 1,2,3,5,6 RAR patch would be good. only reason they will have stock M4 weps is cus our weapon pack is lacking, alot.

currently im just working on a few model things, but im hopeing for a end of week release, but no promises. and for the moment they will just be armed with M4's so for the time being just imagine them as 4RAR :P

dosnt matter if he survived, the point is you can bet he was not combat effective, hence could not fight. sadly in arma2 you can not fully simulate battle wounds nor medics on the scale that would be needed. so dieing is more or less the same as becoming combat ineffective. since i doubt the player would rather spend the rest of the mission (several hours) laying either in the mud or on a stretcher waiting to be medivacted then operated on back at base.... its all about compromises guys. -
not a whole lot no, some minor tweaks here and there, atm im just working on bug fixing and geting them set for release, once they are out, and i find some more time, i will continue with the upgrades i was working on for them.

well its been while since posting here, just letting every1 know we arnt dead lol. ive just been flat out with rl stuff atm but it is slowly coming along. however since my personal life is starting to pick up again i have decided to scale back the project, to smaller more focused releases. currently we are looking at some releases in the coming week. Units that are close to an alpha release are: - PA MRH90 - just some smaller errors need fixing along with minor texture touch ups. - PA Auscam soldiers - need to do all the res lods along with minor model and texture touch ups. - PA basic landrover (transport)- minor bug fixing. now keep in mind each will only be in a alpha/beta state, but will be stable and playable. each release will be missing some things as i havnt finished everything ive wanted to, this ir more of a taster release :) after these releases we will continue on their work, and shortly after hope to have 1.0 versions ready for release along with the chinook and maybe the M113AS4. but thats a big maybe. anyway watch this space for a release :) Cheers Rhodesy

looking good mate, some things though on those skins, bloods waaay to bright, real blood is actualy quite dark, you can also edit the normal maps (NOHQ) to make them appear as actual gashes in the flesh (see the "runner from hell" a few pages back) also make the eyes either some freaky colour such as red, or even just flat black, with a TOUCH of white in one corner. best of luck with it all mate :) -

i say around 4 - 5 shots, as even if they are "infected" they feel little pain, so while they would eventualy die from a single gun shot, they wouldnt stop just becuase of it. -

the virus, it spreads.... photo found on missing persons camera... authorities are still unsure on their were abouts and their status... :P got bored so made a quick reskin... might work on it futher, if ne1 here wants it, or more like it, just say and i might do some more up, since its a good break from the norm lol. problem with a pacific area for a mod is the sheer amount of work that would be needed for the map, would really have to make entire new models for everything. -
have you looked at something like the carl gustuv? (sp?) may be more work but in my opinion would suit the RAC's quite well :), but other than that id probaly go with the M136 or RPG7
