totally agree.. i really would like to see some videos where ai combat stands.. especially 2 squads opposing each other in a scenario would be great!

i am still confused where my HIS HD ATi Radeon 3850 512MB PCI-E stands at for ArmA2?, i run everything max on ArmA but have shadows low and AA low.. and distance set at 1000m. However i am still confused.., does anyone run any similar cards to mine or maybe slightly better or lower? where would i see my card run ArmA 2 at?

Oh ok i got a bit worried, sorry for my lack of interpretation heh. But say if i run it at resoultion of 1024x768, and i wanna play at medium-high would i get a decent fps? is this possible? I get Near Max on ArmA if i make AA medium,Shadow Low or Medium, everything else high at a 25-60fps. However all other games ive played run max everything no problems. However have'nt tried crysis and i hear people get Medium-High with that card..

Because your PC does not support the game, you will need to upgrade sadly.. you are on a AMD A64 3000+ single core,1GB of Ram and a 6600GT card? you are kidding me right? what did you expect?, i had a similar system to yours 2 weeks ago, 3500+ 2.21ghz,1GB of ram but a much much powerful graphics card..ati radeon 3850 hd pci-e 512mb which i will still be using :D :D, i scrapped the single core and 1gb of ram and my old 939 socket motherboard and spent a cheap budget on a decent dual core,4gb of ram and a new AM2/AM2+ motherboard

Yea thats what i hear, its something to do with the optimized multi threading, seems that if the dual core has a higher speed rate than a quad core it will run better than the quad. I think the reason is that theres 4 cores in the quad and the game can't process multi threading well compared to 2 cores on dual core. Hopefully a patch should fix this.

I suggest you get a AMD Athlon 6000+ AM2 3.0ghz x2 like i did a week ago, not even regretting it, cheap bang for buck and awesome performance,big improvement i suggest you don't get intel too expensive with their over estimated prices.\ Also upgrade your PSU from 400W to 500W+ And i suggest if you wanna save money dont get a 1gb nvidia, get a ati radeon 4870 512mb pci-e. I have a 3850 and its good, but if you wanna be up there get a 4870.

well i just upgraded recently last week, not sure if i could post my specs up, already did in the specifications thread. However i can say i have 4gb of ram, his hd ati radeon 3850 512mb pci-e card, ive heard mixed views and results, but i know i will run it fine, just am wondering if anyone has had trouble or has had success running it on a dual core system? how does it play out? whats your fps rate?

Does arma 2 only come out on steam? I really would be disappointed if it was on Steam only, i never support it and never like it. I want to be able to install and play the game like i did with ArmA..

can anyone here tell me about the death animations/physics, this is something ive been waiting to hear about.. did they improve on the animations, say bullet impacts on soldiers etc, the way they fall when they die? I hear its all the same way as in ArmA and OFP?

can anyone tell me about the dual core performance, say at least 2.8-3.2ghz?, i have a AMD Athlon 6000+ Windsor AM2 3.0ghz overclocked to 3.3ghz which i upgraded to last week from a single core just for ArmA. Could anyone give me a brief summary of how it could or would run ArmA 2? Any players with dual cores here?

Well they did say the game was unfinished when it was released... what else did you expect? hopefully they will release some patches soon to fix it up and make the game better..

Well as tempting as it is , as much as i want the game now, id rather wait 1 more month to get the cover,manual,game disc/dvd,box rather than a downloadable version of the game,makes life more simpler having the disc, and i like collecting games i enjoy...

thanks alot man i love the farmhouse video, so much atmosphere, i remember when Oblivion came out.. man that had some atmosphere, but this really kills other games with the environment.. , this is what makes me alot more attracted with the game.. feels more realistic.. however would like to see some combat videos etc if possible :)

Guys some people are prone to motion sickness when they play games.. i have 2 friends that have the same problem, it is pretty common than you think.. some people start feeling sick after they play a game which has alot of motion effects.. no joke.., lucky myself i don't but some people do get it..

Fully agree, i hate how some people have to end up waiting weeks like us after other people who got it weeks before. I think the developers should of had a worldwide release date so its not so far off like Germany 29th,Europe/US and World 30th or 1st of June for example... i know the developers are working their butts off and i fully understand what they are going through.. but in reality the release dates for other countries should'nt always be so far back..

Cheers mate you helped alot! did he ever mention what Framerate he got? To quicksand: i think your cpu at 2.0ghz is low mate, could you OC it higher? your gfx kills mine.. ram is good too.. so i think u can run it well but i suggest you OC your cpu or upgrade it
