just upgraded to a HiS ATi Radeon 4850 512MB PCI-E/ AM3 AMD Phenom II 1055T @ [3.9ghz]/ ASUS M4A89GTD PRO/ Kingston HyperX DDR3 1600mhz CL9/ Thermaltake Silent Purepower 560W/ Seagate SATA II 1TB/ Antec Twelve Hundred Case From a AMD AM2 6000+ 3.3ghz Dual core,AM2 Gigabyte Mobo and 4GB DDR2 800mhz ram. use to get 20-25 fps average, now get 40-55's :) Oh and get an AMD :P

Yea but i am an amd + ati fanboy :P I'm going to OC this baby when i get it tomorrow, to about 3.6-4ghz I can run the actual game on very high with my 4850 so i am happy here, and i am pretty sure my CPU is my bottleneck, so i should see a more better experience in cities and all? I get pretty decent FPS with my current system but when i have a very large battle with plenty of AI my system lags. So ArmA 2 does not use extra 2 cores? What about in intensive large scale battles, say 200+ AI?

Does the game benefit from extra 2 cores? I get 25-35 fps average, sometimes reaches as high as 55fps.. and i play everything on max at 1024x768 Res and AA Off and Shadows on Low. Would i see a performance increase?

Yesterday my Windows 7 64Bit for some odd reason corrupted on me, so i formatted the partition which it was located in and decided to Install XP SP3 32 Pro Edition to see the difference id have on ArmA 2, however after my installation of the OS i am having a problem with Updating ArmA 2, i am getting an error as soon as i try to apply any patch 1.02,1.03 or 1.04 from my ArmA 2 Installation. Saying my air.pbo is corrupt or something, can not patch please redownload the file. However now im getting the error saying my drive is full but i have plently of space on my hard drive... however ive done a few reinstalls and tried running in different compability modes, ive check the disc and its fine as it successfuly installs the game and ive had no issues with it. Its been happening ever since i installed Windows XP Pro SP3? Any Solutions?

so bayonets will be usable? that would be awesome to see :), i know that the finn's used molotov cocktails against T-26's ? are they going to be part of this mod? By the way i am a Russian myself and i know alot about the winter war. I honor both sides of the fallen men and men who fought during the war.Seeing such a mod being created based on this scenario is exciting. However i haven't gone through every post on this thread and i am curious , i don't want to sound rude, but will the mod portray both sides evenly, so its not being biased? Like portraying russian's in the mod as bad? Anyhow will trenches be added as an object? i know the finn's built vast amount of trenches with tank barriers along the mannerheim line.

I know some of you may dislike the WW2 aspect and yes it has been overdone, but seeing the eastern front scenario in ArmA 2 for me would be amazing, with alot of vehicles, weaponary, units would be sweet. I am a WW2 Fanatic, i love reading books,watching movies and playing games involving the WW2 scenario. But anyhow its something i would be interested in, but then if i directed to another conflict i would probably have less interest in it. Hmm..

Hi, I am wondering if anyone came across any information or knows if there will be an WW2 Eastern Front Mod for ArmA 2? I know some WW2 Mod Teams are out there but they are mainly focusing only on Western Front ( I44 for Example ) ,I know Vila's had some models and weaponary based on Eastern Front. I tried the Liberation War Mod for OFP and i am surprised by the shear amount of units,armor and aircraft there is. Now i know there will be some WW2 Mods being worked on for ArmA2 but my main concern is the fact they will be more focused on the Western front / D-Day scenario. However i am deciding on whether to start learning and maybe creating a mod for the Eastern Front myself, but the problem is i am a newbie in making models/reskins, or whatever it is with ArmA/ArmA 2 modding. Maybe if can get the right direction on where to start, or some advice and information about creating mods, i could learn and then maybe start working on such a mod. One of my friends from NZARMA says it took him a year to fully understand how to skin and model. I am really new to this sort of thing, but i myself would like to see an Eastern Front WW2 mod for ArmA 2, but from what it looks like i didn't see any for ArmA 1 exactly, and i don't think there probably will be on for ArmA 2 either, i know there were a few for OFP but the mod developer team for liberation war mod for example hasn't been active i suppose. Any Suggestions? Opinions? Advice?

I was'nt angry i was defending my opinion :) Well i agree with you on keeping Putin, anyhow you coming with the wrong assumptions, i was not stating Chechens in general as Terrorists, i was stating that the Chechen Terrorists themselves were causing it. Heard of Moscow Siege? Beslan School Shooting? those were committed by the Chechen Rebels/Terrorists. Soviet Intervention in Afghanistan was a proxy war, we fought against a group of army of rebels who didn't support the pro communist afghanistan government, we did lose, the vietnam war was a proxy war so was the korean war, There was no such thing as terrorists back there. American's did the same thing in Vietnam and Korea. And also as you were saying, yes i am patriotic :), there is nothing wrong with being patroitic is there? what about the american republicians over iraq and afghanistan? what about the finns who are so patriotic about the winter war. Ive seen a couple of gruesome videos and pictures and i very much regret seeing them and watching them, it pretty much scarred me for life :/. Curiosity hits you and you ponder. Ive seen pictures and videos of real beheading's and i assure you that was very horrible and chilling. Upon watching one of the chechclear videos i was horrified how the victim begged for mercy and how he suffered,it made me angry and depressed, for me its very hard to believe such reality happens and that 1/1,000,000,000 experience such a thing in the world and to understand the psycological aspect of how some people enjoy committing these acts or can commit them without having any affects on them. I know when playing violent videos games i don't notice anything, but seeing the real violence it scares me.. , i think that the soldiers who experience this in real life get scarred for life, they can never forget the horrible reality they experienced and saw. Violent Videos/Images can show you this over the internet and you get scarred. I really would urge everyone to not watch or look up the images of such things..im still getting these pictures in my head and its hard not to forget.
