The 'useWeapon Action' is pretty good work around, good idea. Also did try useing an addon, this works but it means when playing multiplayer everyone would need the addon which is a bit tricky. Thanks for the replys, really apreciate it.

Anyone know a way of makeing a unit fire indirectly?

ah sorry Ill provide a detailed explanation. I think there was the same problem with OFP. Basically Im makeing a script to make the AI more human like when in combat, for example the first part of my scripts causes AI to run to the nearest cover when fired upon. The second part though requires the MGs to lay down a base of fire upon the attacking squad, to do this I do not want the AI to target specific units in the enemy squad. I require them to shoot around and above the heads of the enemy squad, so I would ideally spawn a game logic above the attacking squads heads and have the MGs fire at it. But useing various methods you cannot get them to do this. For example you cannot do _unit doTarget _logic _unit fire ["PK","Manual","100Rnd_762x54_PK"] Useing this the MG always points his gun directly in the air not aiming at anything Or _unit doFire _logic But useing this the AI do not fire at game logics. If I were to replace the logic with a trafic cone though, the AI would shoot, but the drawback being theres a traffic cone flying around the sky. I think the only methos is to have an invisible object that AI will shoot at but I dont know weather there is such a thing without useing an addon (which I would like to avoid if possible).

you can cause an AI to shoot at a road cone but you can make him shoot at a game logic. But everytime I want indirect fire I dont want to spawn a road cone above peoples heads.

huh what addons? and i love this island, its perfect for this type of mission. And if you're gonna make ur own version thts fine, i'll be happy to help u with dialgoues if u need n e help. And I do not know ur email adress to email it 2 u.

You see that theres a refinary in the list I added this to make people more inclined to stay near there base. What it does is convert the scrap youve collected into credits that you can spend. I could email you what ive done so far so you can see the different levels that you need to build certain stuff? And if you want me to add anything else on the list for the dialogue just say and ill add it in.

Last night our squad tested it and I liked the idea but haveing every building as a list on the action menu made it messy. So I decided to make the mission useing dialugues. Heres what I've done so far. Everything you see works with scripts so if you clicked something it does actually build it and deduct your cash. And it works with levels so you cant build everything at once, you have to gain levels by doing everything that you can. Ive nearly finnished it I just need to add the plant food thing in and something so you can ally with people and that way you join there group or something. And ive got to add a transfering credits system.
