Wildo, if you give me some way to do so, I'll send it to you personally. As far as I'm concerned, it's all open source now. No support will be provided by me, but you're all free to dePBO it and work on whatever you wish. Reggy PS: Some pics

Thanks all for the kind words. Sorry if it's been a bit rough downloading the pack. My DSL can't handle all the connections being made. Currently trying YouSendIt.com, other alternate suggestions welcome. The pack contains everything that ONS ever made...including things already released.

Hello. After much thought, and a recent conversation with the mod leader, I have decided to release all of the addons of Operation Northstar. Unfortunately many of the items are unfinished, and are somewhat unpolished. Again, to reiterate, as far as I know the mod is dead. I have gone to lengths to ensure that no one was working on anything, and that it truly was over. R.I.P. ONS. EDIT: Looking for a mirror. My bandwidth can't handle the requests.

o2 crashes when switching to texture mode
Reginald replied to Reginald's topic in OFP : O2 TROUBLESHOOTING
My apologies Vixer, for not replying swiftly. I asked to be notified if there were replies, and it didn't give me a heads up. Thanks for replying Buldozer.exe : C:\OFP\Buldozer.exe Texture files : C:\OFP\NameOfAddon\Blueprints o2fixer.bat : subzt Z: C:\OFP NOTE: The crash occurs before it even allows me to select the textures. They are of correct size for the odd time it does work, the textures show correctly. Hadn't thought of it that way, but it is accurate enough. Reggy -
Absolutely magnificent! Thank you. Reggy

o2 crashes when switching to texture mode
Reginald replied to Reginald's topic in OFP : O2 TROUBLESHOOTING
Now it appears to be totally random. Please gentlemen, I only post because I am new to this and would really like to learn. If anyone has ANY suggestions, or if there is some information that I can make available, please let me know. Reggy -
I've run into the same problem as colussus. I really hope this doesn't warrant a reinstall. PS: Is there a World Mod 3? I only have 2.0.

o2 crashes when switching to texture mode
Reginald replied to Reginald's topic in OFP : O2 TROUBLESHOOTING
Something that I've noticed: It only quits on me when I have Buldozer running. If Buldozer is off, I can apply textures no problem. Reggy -
Hi. I'm new to all of this, and I am trying to follow Brsseb's tutorials. I've installed o2 the way he described it, using the batch file to map a drive, etc. When I get to the part where you have to apply textures by pressing 'a', o2 crashes. I've read this topic but it does nothing to fix my errors. Oddly enough, I tried to apply a texture halfway through writing this topic, and it worked. Then I closed o2, retried, and then it didn't. If anyone has any insight into this problem, I would be really greatful! Thanks, Reggy

This is excellent news! I've been looking forward to this a long time as well; when I saw your teaser video, I was blown away. I second the motion for the waterfall as I thought it was stunning. The traffic lights being absent are a shame, but it's not a really big loss, as no other islands have them anyway. I'm really happy that you decided to release this! Cheers, Reggy

I think that by the time this comes out, the way that computers work will even change. I know that there is research being done on quantum computers, and recently a scientest has found a way to "freeze" light, and she is exploring the application of it in regards to data storage. It's crazy how different computers will be in the next 15 - 20 years. The reason we have IPv6 is because the internet is running out of IP addresses. Eventually, it will be for public use (IMHO). You can't just put everyone behind a NAT and expect the problem to go away. Reggy

Put your Windows XP CD into your drive, then reboot. When your computer asks you to get into your BIOS setup, press the specified button. Under the boot menu, it will show the boot load order - ensure that your CD drive is on top of the list. Save and exit. Your Windows XP CD will start copying all the files needed for setup. I recommend erasing every partition, and then redoing the partition scheme. I usually give the operating system its own 15 - 20 gigabytes partition, and I NEVER install anything on this partition (If you have a smaller drive, 5 Gigs will be enough for the operating system). For programs I have another partition (it is better to partition your drive for security purposes). The installation itself is painless, and it will ask you a few questions during setup (time zone, networking, etc). It should take around 40 minutes to do the install, depending on your PC. Once the install is complete, go directly to the Windows Update site. Download every update that you see. There are some scary flaws in Windows that can allow an attacker to take over your system. It is VERY important to keep your computer up to date. (The latest flaw that I've read has to do with how Windows implemented their TCP/IP stack, and it could allow an attacker to take comeplete control.) Once your updates are done, look into getting an anti-virus program. Afterwards, get a personal firewall (I use Sygate, but there are others as well, like Black Ice). You may also want to get a program that searches for spybots. Ad-Aware is good, but there are other alternatives as well. Ensure that you have the latest patches for every program that you reinstall, and then continue on to installing Operation Flashpoint Hope that helps. Reggy
