Looks an interesting effort, I subscribed and will wait to see if I get in on the act. I remember the Browser based game Planetarium when that started and it developed into a huge game with hundreds of thousands of people.

Have to agree with you there.. With all the monies spent on the game, a little more plot would of been nice!

I have to admit I am honestly perplexed what russia hopes or wants to gain from all this? I am no fan of some of the actions of our nations in the past and present, but what Russia is doing appears to defy logic. Perhaps something more is at stake? or is it all about "we do as we please we are still a superpower thankyou!"?

May I remind everyone, that your opinion is your opinion and does not in any way reflect a conglomerate persay. We have had many many suggestions and "I want this threads", all with great lists of features fixes and must have's. Some of you are getting quite hot under the collar on a subject that is very subjective. You may feel very strongly about said subject, but it is not worth getting vexed about. One persons golden idea may well be another persons bad idea.

This thread and any thread like it will be closed if the bickering continues. Feel free to disagree in a mature fashion, what has taken place in the past few threads have been unacceptable. Keep it civil people.

mr.g-c For the number of outbursts even if in some sort of retaliation you can take a 1 week PR and a +2 WL. Your perception of proper moderation of forums appears to clearly be warped. Threats of physical violence and threats of your wrath simply display a lack of maturity. As we have said time and time again if you have a grievance with someone take it to PM or PM a moderator if you feel you forums rules have been broken. Thankyou. For some time I have been wondering what other areas the community have yet to explore in terms of communication and tools. We have many news sites and variations on that theme. I pondered on the idea of a community site, but my time is limited so I settled for going with what is a current trend. Blogging. Community Blog The focus of the blogging shall be on our beloved ArmA and OFP and of course ArmA II, feel free to digress as long as it is on that theme. I think this will should you guys choose to use it, be a great place to see and read what people really think on various subjects such as modding, scripting, mission editing and so on. Please note however I reserve the right to edit or remove any posts should they be offensive or break any common sense rules with regards to data on the internet. Nice graphics, like the helmet detail . I think codies are going to pull a GRAW outa this, notice the HUD.. Think I would prefer something a bit more than GRAW

I picked up GR1 when it was released and really enjoyed it. It is certainly not a large scale game but what it does it does well. The coop modes are fun as well as the adversarial team play modes. As has been stated already the graphics were pretty cutting edge back then, but times have indeed moved much further on. I used to play in a team for a short while untill said team realised just how rife the cheating was in the MP adversarial matches. This forced me to put the game down with dismay. Nevertheless it's a fun title and worth a look if you find it in a bargain bin.

Pavehawk Please refrain from calling people "utterly stupid". While you may see no value in comparing the development process and current status others do. There is a great deal of value in discussing how these two games are stacking up as do we all not read game magazines from time to time and more often than not see work in progress?? If you find this topic or discussion to your dislike go and find another topic which you do rather than applying a blanket statement to all of the game enthusiasts here. Thankyou.

From what we understand many attempts to fix the database have been tried.

Obviously a lot of what has been stated is comon sense. However as Placebo has outlined we have been shouting for an upgrade or a new forum for a very long time, the powers that be have been musing lots of options and as it's plain to see at not a great pace. Whether it's down to lack of man power or lack of will there seems to be little movement on this front at present. It's a damn shame but we all have to wait untill BIS make a decision.

You have actually told us this peice of information several posts back. Also, it has not gone unnoticed that your constant posting is bare minimum in fact posts are frankly worthless in terms of informing prospective members and members of the community about what goes on at GOL. You may well be ahering to rules they your posts are certainly not in the spirit that the rules were set. I am sure you are very aware that when we ask that you post informative posts about what your group is doing, a quick note to say person X has joined is frankly not acceptable. If you persist in posting such poor, yet criteria matching posts I will deem it to be nothing more than thread bumping and will lock the thread. You have been warned.
