Hmm tried the new drivers, and there is improvement! Menu now loads.. BUT.. it takes around 90 seconds from starting the game for the menu to appear.. When I do start a game it's VERY slow initially, and seems to stutter all the time. Much much worse than my 9800Pro (and my Geforce4!!) Could I have something else set wrong?

That's great to hear. Would you maybe have a pic of the error you had that you could post here or email to me? UPDATE: pic here. Yup, that's my piccy, I have the same problem as you lot by the looks of it. I'll try the old drivers, but I don't really want to lose the performance of the newer sets

Ok I was just trying to try out OFP having just bought a 6800GT, but I'm having serious problems. When the splash screen loads, the menu is all there, but in the background is just a load of lines and grey triangles, in almost artistic pattern.. Also moving around the menu is agonisingly slow, and I can't seem to quit, meaning I have to reboot to get back to windows. As a result I can't get a screenie I'm running 1.96 patch, so any ideas? I'm trying to finish the mission in Red Hammer called 'Hidden Agenda'. You have to infiltrate a Russian base in disguise and plant a few bombs, and then capture 2 Russian officers. But everytime the cutscene kicks in to show me capturing the officers it quits to desktop. Can anyone solve this?

Ok if I use the older drivers off the CD that came with my 9700 (Catalys 2.2), OFP plays great except for the Shadow problem. So currently I'm playing with Object and Vehicle shadows turned off..

Ok I just got my R9700, and I'm using the latest 2.3 Catalyst drivers. If I load the game with T&L enabled, it gets to the bit where it displays the Codemasters logo, then the next screen with the text (which is now slightly garbled), then it crashes to desktop. If I don't use T&L, the game loads fine, but the menu (with the game engine running in the background), is unbearably slow. It takes around 30s of persistent clicking just to exit the game again Can anyone help me?
