Havnt seen any custom maps for MP Nogova  Its been almost a year since i tried to search for maps on outdated OFP websites todownload . So WHo has the latest and greatest bragging rights and is on the A list for maps and where to go to get them Especially Nogova!!!!!!!!!!! lol Denoir, I ran  a search and already seen the site u gave in my first post . IT says Website not found on all the links . I also didnt see any post anywhere in the forums on Nogova Maps . Please Be Kind , let people post a few links here before u lock it . Thanks , Rowdy

When you go into mulitplayer I can see all the DED servers up and the names of the servers . I figure they must be all launched from gamespy to have the names on them  ? SO if i create a game in gamespy launch myself into OFP RES could  my bros avoid gamespy and see my hosted game in the mulitplayer ded servers list ?? Or what do they do to find my game ,search by IP ? What if we want the public to see us in Mulitplayer so they could join up ?  I guess u could say were not a dedicated server just putting our room up when were online .Was hoping that most of the people could avoid Gamespy . ALso when they search by IP sometimes they could find me by IP other  nights it seemed not to work . Taking firewalls and all that into consideration also . Havnt seen alot of threads explaining this Hosting stuff either .Thought Avon would have something for us ,well- ummmmmmmm not so computer literate .hehe {;-)

Sb Live 5.1 and Windows ME SOund is great can hear people before they hear me . Sb Live audigy and Windows ME SOund is also great and can still hear people before they hear me . Both with eax enabled . UPgrade to Windows XP with Sb live 5.1 and/Or audigy (along with many trys and reformats and a new motherboard) From the begining I get crackles while the game is being installed .In the game ,in vehicles and copters i get the crackles and pops .First or third person . By changing one of the audio codecs to priority 1 it seemed to help but then i locked up big time and couldnt recover. BY THE WAY I JUST RECIEVED the SB Audigy 2002 Drivers CD No fix there either . So this is a Microsoft issue ? or a Creative issue ? Why does codemasters act like they havnt heard of the problem ? Why is the sound problem only with this game ?I dont understand why Codemasters seems to ignore the problem when maybe they could fix it .I know what its like to hear someone on the other side of town walking .Thats what leads me to believe we have a game problem . With version 1.45 what addons would you recommend for people to install to enjoy all maps out there ? Kolgujev12 EditorsUpgrade102 Snow addons ASh-arcticarmor1.3 collection101 desertvehicles Thats the addons I install .BUt im not sure if i need them all or not . I dont install the other worlds yet since i havnt seen any maps for them .

WHooooooooooooooooooooooooooooaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wait a min im not a map maker and you guys are saying as a basic player ME and MY squad should have all these addons to play maps ??? Think i will stick to the basic ones but do you see what i am asking ?

By the way the sound problems with Windows XP,Sound Blaster and OFP is a pain in the ass .The new audigy drivers released in 2002 is not a fix so dont pay or wait for them .I had to go back to Windows ME .

I reformated installed 4n1 drivers all the microsoft upgrades all the video ,programs ,and latest drivers for anything i have . then the soundcard drivers 4n1 drivers agian IRQ =Video,sound,network card all on seperate IRQS and the rest looks nice!!!!!!! System resourses abouve 85% or more I have started at low end and worked my way up to this level of system.Tried ALL tech support ideas and got all sorts of problems . Today the problem is crash half way through a game in multiplayer every other game actually it seems to be every Mulitplayer game . What the heck is going on !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have loaded other games and they all run just fine . ALso i have tried BIOS changes and updates . Ive tried anything and everything . Does anyone have any ideas why this game has so many problems and any of my component tech forums for me to look at ?

Category: Sound Question: I am having trouble with a system using a VIA chipset including a 686b southbridge and a Creative Sound Blaster Live card. Answer: When the 686b southbridge was first released, motherboard manufacturers and VIA discovered a problem when trying to transfer files between the primary and the secondary IDE channels on motherboards using ultra-DMA, when a Sound Blaster Live was plugged in and drivers activated. This issue was caused because too much noise is transferred across the PCI bus by the Sound Blaster Live driver set. In an attempt to fix this issue, some motherboard manufacturers modified their BIOS. In some instances, these modifications to the BIOS caused a data corruption error even when not using a Sound Blaster Live. VIA released a patch which resolves this issue, which is incoroporated in the 4in1 drivers from the 4.31 version onwards. Motherboard manufacturers were advised to change the modifications made to thier BIOS to elimate the data corruption issue. If you are experiencing data corruption or lock up when transferring files between two IDE drives: 1) Make sure you have the latest BIOS from your motherboard manufacturer. 2) Make sure you have the latest 4in1 drivers 3) Make sure when you set up your system that you install the 4in1 drivers both before and after you install the SBL to make sure that the drivers see your SBL and install the correct patch. The patch will only install if the SBL is installed

How can i use the red gun site with 1.45 and not upgrade and change my sound ?

>>>Eagle<<< on NSD is having the same prob .Ive looked everywhere to find a fix for him and nothing .Hes reinstalled the game 10 times .lol 1)unstalled game 2)deleted OFP folder 3)reinstall 1.2 upgrade 4)reinstall 1.3 upgrade 5)reinstall 1.4 upgrade 6)reinstall 1.42 upgrade ( we tried without it and i didnt either 7)reinstall 1.45 and getting errors When eagle installs his game he has 1.00 can he goto 1.2 then 1.3 then 1.45 right ? Thats what hes doing and also tried anything else in between . This is also with the addons added yet .

I liek the new scope site but the sound is kinda funky with windows XP . How can i use the new scope site without the new sounds ?

I can run a DED server and people can join manually . BUt how do i open a ded server leave it in gamespy without me in it and let people join through gamespy ?Without me there . I have tried to do it and seem to be doing something wrong . I have open my ded server .then went to Gamespy ded servers . ALL i seem to be able to do is open the game let people in and launch which i dont want to do . I want to be able to put my server in Gamespy and let NSD squad members join and be the admins . ANy help would be great .

I want to be able to put my server in Gamespy and let NSD squad members join manually and be the admins .Then people in Gamespy just be able to click on the room and go into the DED server game . If the 1st person is always admin can there be a password where a NSD member could over ride admin ? Or do they have to do the vote thing ? and how is that done ?

The 27.42 was fatel to me . 27.30 seemed to rock with WinME. BUt with XP i found that the old drivers or 23.11 or 27.30 drivers were a bbit choppy . I went against all my judgements and downloaded the 23.1.2 ( as they call it at MICROSOFT UPDATE and its the best graphics i have seen . I know everyone is different though . That was my lucky number though .

In The dynamic update i lost the firing sounds of rifles and people walking and shooting at me . Anyway i just deleted the file and was back to normal . #### it sure was worth the try .

Dont sneeze or touch anything !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OK i dont know how or why but the crackle and poping stopped .Heres what i was doing . 1) I noticed my OFP screen was scewed to the right about 2 -3 inches . So i was trying to fix that . I took my refresh rate in the game and moved it from 65 hz to 85 hz .While i was there a song was playing in OFP and I turned Hardware acceleration ON and OFF and EAX on and off several times in combination orders listening to the difference.Left both on and ...... Then i went to my desktop right click /Properties /settings/advanced/monitor and changed my refresh rate to 85 hz .PIcture is perfect and ............. Sound is great . not like it was where i could here everyone on a DM map but close enough . Crystal Clear .IM happy . Windows XP and OFP finally runnning together . Last Night a member from USMC says he had an SOUND addon for OFP and it really sweet .ANyone know what he was talking about ? He had no idea where it came from either .

I had same prob or my prob i would load to a Green screen . It was a simple setting in BIOS .try Default BIOS and then gradually bring your setting involving AGP up one at a time . MY problem went away .Its been so long i cant remmebe whicj setting it was . Hope this points you in the right direction .

Is there a test out there to test memory ? like benchmarking or testing your video card ?

I have SB LIVE 5.1 and i know the sound cant be any better than it is with ME . However i get crackles and pops in XP . SO i went and got the AUDIGY .Same problem . SB now has released the new disc drivers . call this number 1-800-998-1000 or 1-800-998-5227 and they will mail you a new Disc for XP . I have a disc for SB live 5.1 and a disc for audigy on the way . Hope this solves the problem .I think the Sb live 5.1 cost a couple dollars i gave em a credit card number . ( I Know WTF ?)

I have a soundblaster Live 5.1 gamer . I get a crackling in the game when im in Vehicles and copters . Sometime going to 1st person then to 3rd person will get rid of the cracks and pops . I have been contacting soundblaster ( hold time over an hour ) ,Microsoft, MSI , and OFP .I took my Motherboard back , I traded in my memory for 2 identical sticks of Kingston 256 ddr ram . I reformated in Fat 32 and NTSB .The only thing not replaced in my computer is the soundcard . ( which runs fine in all other games ).This time i downloaded the SB XP drivers and not the SB Card driver update at microsoft . This is allowing the cracks and pops to go away after i switch the views . ( THis is in some Veh and maps ) I afraid to download the drivers at microsoft now .hehe ANY ideas ? thnaks mister . I have teid all the above . in fact gamespy is there but OF is not getting listed in ZA programs . Im also running windows ME DX 8.0 A with all drivers latest and greatest . Also have voodoo 5500 which may be why i can te get back to a screen .

I have purchased and lock up hard if i try to open OF with zonealarm running . no cntrl -At - delete . i have to kill power .
