I also have a performance drop of around 10 fps. Benchmarking using scenario 8 run 5 times with each patch. This is compared to the last official patch. For me the performance has been lower for the last few betas. Specs are irrelevant as they are a constant with the only variable being betas in the equation.

Why all the excitment...........I only counted 5 posts that mention the word patch. The rest are only general questions. :rolleyes:

Have noticed that with this beta playing missions at night cause ai to have their flash lights on all the time. Ordering them to turn off doesnt work. Kind of nuisance when you want to creep up on an enemy base.............hehe.

Can anybody explain why there is such a large difference between Arma2 1.07 and OA 1.54. I have been playing mainly OA but decided to play some Arma2 SP and MP. All I can say is wow........what a difference. The game is so much smoother, especially considering it had to draw more objects ie... trees. There is obviously some performance increases in 1.07 compared to other patches, why is this not in the latest version of 1.54 OA. BTW I use the same settings in OA as A2.

HI and thanks for for the reply. Post processing settings in mine are both set to very low and everything else is on normal.

Thats not really testing like for like. You have to run Arma2 from the Arma2.exe to see the difference. Ie.... not from the CO.exe or shortcut. Also I run both Arma2 and OA (or CO) with post process set to the minimum. I just hope that they can put the same performance increase in 1.07 into OA patches.

Same problems here with the noticable stutter that was not there before and the flashing textures that I have never seen before. I did a full defrag after with O&O. Hope it gets sorted.

I bought OA and installed. Then I bought Arma2 .......then I uninstalled OA, then installed Arma2 then reinstalled OA. Playing OA MP is fine but when I join an MP game of Arma2 I get kicked telling me that Battleye failed to update. I downloaded the 1.05 patch and extracted the Battleye installer and ran it. There is now the battleye folder in Arma2 with the DLL files...........but I still get kicked from MP games even though I downloaded the latest files from the Battleye website. Does anyone have any ideas as I would like to play some Arma2 MP. Thanks......................Plimmy.

Hehe...................what can go wrong in creating a folder then naming it (correctly)then dropping in 2 .dll files? And where is the installer that is missing from your site that you said you would put on? I still cant find it. :j: People will need you to put up an easy installer not have to do what I have done and extract it from a patch.

HI.............I had the same prob and even creating the folder and putting in the dll files didnt work. The only way I got it to work was to uninstal arma2 and OA, then clean the registry with CCleaner (google it), then reinstall arma2 patch it then install OA apply patch for OA then install battleye with the installer. I got my battleye installer from the 1.05 patch. I opened up the patch exe with winrar and got the battleye installer that way.

OK. I know it isnt easy trying to keep an eye on things like that. Thanks for the update. Maybe it would be a good idea, as there are new people buying Arma2 on the back of OA, to include Battleye installer in the 1.07 patch. Thanks. :)

I must say that the support from BIS regarding this is pretty poor. There was not much response on the foums plus my email never got answered. Another thing is that the patch 1.0 to 1.07 missing the Battleye installer is also lame. There is no mention apart from being buried on these forums about how to overcome it. On the Battleye site you can oly download the .dll files and not the installer. Plus the patch is quite old now and there hasnt been a change to included Battleye. Anywhooo rant over. I managed to fix the prob by uninstalling Arma2 and OA then reinstalling Arma2...........applying the all version patch and find the Battleye installer. Unfortunatley I had to work this out myself. Perhaps a sticky would ne nice. BUT thanks to those who posted a reply anyway. :)

I did notice that when I see the browser it tells me that patch 1.07 is now available even though my version is 1.07. Plus when I join a coop it tells me that there is a missing or removed file.

Hi.........I am running XP so I dont have to worry about admin mode.

I tried again last night and noticed other players were being kicked with the same message. Can anyone help me?
