Pteradon replied to bardosy's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - USER MISSIONS
I've just completed the campaign, and i really enjoy the missions. Thanks Bardosy for this great campaign. -
It was already awsome at the beginning, but still you guys amaze me, with those updates. It's really looking good. Btw, nice touch (Windmill Productions):)

Just watched the video on page 1. The fog you've made DMarkwick, looks a lot better than the default one, even it's still WIP.

Campaigns - Do You Think They Promote This Game Or Not?

Same here. -
After reading your post, i can only give the same comment about it, as Sic-Disaster did

Probably those pictures are from the Specopsplg Contra Terreur (CT) Great, looking forward for their release. But don't take the wool hats of the picture below; These are the woolen hats for dutch soldiers whom are in training to be an commando. Some pictures of dutch commando's; And a bit dated (2002) but worth it to take a look at;) http://img193.imageshack.us/img193/7924/albumpic2mq3.jpg http://img193.imageshack.us/img193/8185/bepakkingjpegtz0.jpg

Hello, This isn't an addon request. I'm just curious why Arma2 use only 6 digits coördinates. When i was in the army, we used only 8 digits coordinates + 2 letters for pointing wich section of the map. Correct me if i'm wrong, i thought this is standard for NATO troops. example: AJ 2145 3857 A 6 digit coördinate is to 100 meter accurate, an 8 digit coördinate is accurate to 10 meter. For reading the coördinates on the map, we used this tool; Im curious why this isn't used in Arma2?
-
Looks good Aeneas. Thanks.
-
Wip???? They look already :459:
-
Great, thank you Aeneas
-
It will depends on wich scale map its used, i think;) The digit coördinate is not only for precision bombing, but also for artillery. I have use it irl as an recce, for getting mortar support. As an recce we had to make contact reports with 8 digit coördinates. The better the contact report is, and the contact location, the better view the overwatch commanders have of the situation. I was just curious about it, because most of Arma2 players like to play at an high level of realism

A.C.E. Advanced Combat Environment - Public Beta *2*!
Pteradon replied to sickboy's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
Thank you for the hotfix. -
I really appreciate it, that you're taking it very serious. Even that you spend alot of time making sure it appeared the exact same colour in game.:) But the dutch army has more than one supplier for thier clothes, wich results in some difference in color of the DPM. Some examples; And an example of the helmet.

Sorry Aeneas2020, but SiC-Disaster is right about the Dutch flag.:) The Dutch flag is always worn on the left arm. Dutch soldiers wear division/brigade patches on their right arm, or others like the UN / IFOR / SFOR / ISAF. examples of those; Luchtmobiele Brigade - air assault brigade http://www.nato.int/pictures/2006/060906b/b060906ag.jpg But there are some dutch units, like the unit i was in, don't wear any shoulder patches / flags or rank patches, when they are doing tactical (green) operations. The body amour i did wear was this model; But im not sure if they are still using this model.
-
I'm wandering if there are more people where this occurs. Normally i run Arma2 with Postprocess Effects on high, but every time i start Arma2, i have to reset it. In the video options menu, it's still listed as high, but ingame i dont have any postprocess. I have to set Postprocess Effects to off and back on to high to get it ingame.

Postprocess Effects reset itself

Thank you. -
True, thats normal way, for most dutch units, whom are doing "normal" duty's or are at the base. But, there are circumstances where the dutch (infantry) soldier is free of choice, of how to wear they trousers. (hot weather / combat situations) ;)
-
If you any kind of information/photo's about those dutch uniforms, feel free to ask, i did wear them for 8 years.
-
Nice job Aeneas2020. :ok:
-
I have the same thing, because im using TrackIR. But you can select those members by pressing shift key and the F key at the same time. (Shift+F7)
-
I using the Logitech G9 about 7 months now, and im very happy with it.
-
Indeed, good campaign. I really like it. Nice job, Bardosy.
