    Another crashing problem

Hi Desertfox, hav just read ur latest post about my weird soundchip! That doesnt sound too good! I dont know why it's unusual cos it's a popular mobo (Asus P5B Deluxe Wi-Fi) Ive tried disabling the onboard audio but no joy. Im going to see if i hav latest X-Fi drivers today. Thx for other suggestions. Im reluctant to remove my soundcard because a) it would leave me with my onboard sound chip! b) im not going to remove my X-Fi every time i want to play. Thx for ur all ure efforts so far. I hope i'll hav some luck with the X-Fi drivers Time owned the game - 11 days Copies returned to Game - 1 Time spent playing - 0 minutes

I looked at the Intel site but the chipset drivers only apply to Intel integrated graphics (which i don't use), the software update utility program (which i have) and Matrix Manager which is related to RAID/storage. I dont use RAID.

    yes, from the Asus website
  6. system specs: Intel Core 2 Duo 6600 2GB Crucial ddr2 ram Asus P5B Deluxe Wi-Fi mobo XFX Nvidia 7800 GT graphics card OS - Windows XP My UK version of the game has never launched. (bought 17 Feb 07) I get the usual "ArmA has encountered a problem and needs to close..." msg which seems to be quite common. After going thru the forum i have tried the following solutions without success: - setting X-Fi to Game mode - removing Asus Wi-Fi software - updating all chipset and graphics card drivers - uninstalling and reinstalling game - painting dvd black and putting in microwave for 3 minutes on 'defrost' OK, i havent tried the last one yet but i've run out of other ideas
