    i think really the mod is meant to be played on a multiplayer server that also runs the mod. Some pbo's are client side but others that control ai for example needs to be on the server. Using it on a server that doesnt check for pbo signitures etc would be considered cheating and could cause client side crashes and problems for other players.
  5. Vilas, you just sound like your're gloating mate. Get making some Islands for A2 then we will judge the realism. The engine will prevent total realism regarding urban areas. Personally I love Panthera, okay the building stock is limited to Arma 1 and Arma 2 objects, and because IceBreakr has used only enterable buildings (a must in my opinion, even with the ai, they cant shoot from it and cause a tactical problem to a squad and of course in PvP they can be used well) it has lowered the amount of varierty he can put into his villages.
  6. Hi King Nothing I will try the updated one tonight. Yep I do use Sound of War mod, SLX and, JTD. I'll experiment with disabling them.

    how would I go about replacing the configs? I understand I have to unpack it, and eventually recompile, but do I have to delete any other files or is it simply a replace job? EDIT- Think I've done it, but I'm getting an error msg about a dependancy when I launch the dedi server, yet in game everything SEEMS to be ok.
  8. yep. I get this, all the time. Also, revive isnt working properly. Whenever a player dies he simply spawns miles away on an island (boot_hill or respawn_west not sure) Mission is unplayable at the moment, but it sounds great and I hope you find a fix for it.

    aha to be fair, in my missions i usually make helo insertions to be a human activity, i like to give my clan a good wide range of activities. I never trust the ai with helo insertions, vanilla or SLX. It usually has to be heavily scripted to work properly.

    to be honest, the mod requires mission makers to THINK differently. just playing through a campaign/mission made for vanilla will always make things differently. The key to a good mission is always understanding the ai, be it how they respond to scripts/instructions/triggers etc to pure combat behaviour. The AI in the stock game is an improvement over the older BIS games, but its still has work to be done, and luckily people out there are able to tweak it to more a more realstic potential.

    Hi guys, How would I go about configuring the script so you can only revive someone once they are inside the Warfare Field Hospital. I see the option in the script, i have turned that on, i see you also have to define something after turning it on, is this simply a name for the field hospital, or does it have to be the name of a marker over the field hospital. Also how would I go about making that the ONLY way to revive someone.
