Getting Back in the Game and OFPEC

[issue solved] Hello, I`m an old community member, from the time there was mainly OFP around and I`m sort of rehearsing a comeback. I see things have evolved a lot and I`ll have a lot reading before I catch up - good job keeping the ball rolling. Also, since there are many members in common here and I can`t get in touch with an admin at OFPEC to reactivate my account, could anyone provide me an email address to contact them? the admin@ofpec.com appears to be dead. I`ve sent 5 messages in the past 3 months and all I got back was MailerDeamon Error. thanks PakoAry -
Thanks xmongx. I believe I'll wait for the next cat version. Rolling back may let me play the demo, but I do not want to risk bringing back old issues that I'm not aware of just to try ArmA earlier. I'll wait for the problem free driver. té mais

Is this problem unique, perhaps a little puzzling or questions about the demo have a lower priority? it's been around since march 10th. Does the demo sort of enhances the problem with the ATI driver? would the solution be the same as the one regarding other ATI problems: just wait for the new driver? P4 3200 HT, 2G RAM, ATI radeon 9700 pro (7.2 drivers), XP SP 2

I've just installed the last version of directX and ati video driver trying to fix it without success. Video is messed up. After loading, it passes the menu selection and starts the mission (1st person). Although I can look around, move and shoot the fps is extremelly low  (can't provide a number but it's very noticeable) - res is down to 800x600 and other video settings are low. then, When I (wiggling) aproach  geometry some random triangles start appearing randomly, textures get messed, image freezes for a while... This is not a high end system: P4 3200 HT, 2G RAM, ATI radeon 9700 pro, XP SP 2 can anyone shed a light here? Thanks té mais Pako PS: OFP/Resistance, BF2, Sturmovik 1946 didn't present problems

Salutations! I'd like to be more active in the forum, but unfortunatly, since I don't play lotto, work will still consume a lot of time. I know everybody works and this is a placebo complain but, since I'm unable to devote some time to projects I want, I felt like snivelering out.... done. emptied chest...  to the point then: I was reading that cfgVehicles.hpp when I found this line: landingAoa = 10*3.1415/180; Assuming that this line is setting a landing Angle of attack of aprox. 10 degrees, we can conclude that rotation unit is radian, since it converts degrees to rad using an aprox pi. té mais PakoAry

Salutations! Let's see if I may be of assistance at this hour... it's already 02:35. </span><table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1"><tr><td>Quote </td></tr><tr><td id="QUOTE">btw: I was quoting this 64000mil-thingy; I didn't came across this unit before -I'm used to work with rad or ° <span id='postcolor'> Although radians are the SI standart, the fundamental unit to measure angles is degrees, since we can work with them, convert and perform calculations of small fractions, without the use of pi. If we divide the rad by 1000 to provide resolution, we will have a milliradian. A circle comprises 6283.185... milliradians, what is a good resolution but still irrational. Then, if a unit is defined as 1/6400 of a circle, we have resolution and won't need pi. This unit is mil, a rough milliradian. (1mil = 0.9817477042468104...rad) hope it helps... té mais PakoAry

well, here it goes... I had a bg texture loaded in front view and was working with four views (F9). I've selected a different view (top) and ALT-S it to make some adjustment to a few points. When I returned to four views, the bg texture was null... even 'restore last' didn't bring it back. Bug? Newbieness? you decide. and btw, do I really have to reload, since it's not saved with the model, and reposition my bg texture every time I decide to continue a not concluded model? thanks in advance, té mais PakoAry

I suggest a virtual drive... let's say you have the progs correctly unzipped to c:\Downloads\O2light and c:\Downloads\Buldozer open notepad and write a batch file such as o2.bat with the instructions below: SUBST o: c:\Downloads\Buldozer c:\O2light\ObjektivLight.exe save it inside c:\Downloads\Buldozer Now, all you have to do is run the batch file and it will launch O2 (don't forget you will need OFP CD in the drive). To save you from digging in your folders every time you wanna use O2, make a shortcut in your start menu or desktop to the batch file. in fact all the batch does is make windows treat the folder you've placed buldozer as a driver o: I've suggested o: because in portuguese, my mother language, it sounds close to O2, but can be any letter not in use. hope it helps té mais PakoAry
