Didnt spot that in the Island readme thanks.

I'm having real problems getting the AI to move large distances on Tonal. I've not quite figured out what the problem is, but e.g - if you put a choppper at one corner of the map and a Move WP at the opposite corner, it refuses to move. It seems that long WPs that cross the central point of the map both horizontally and vertically get ignored by the AI. Short ones dont seem to cause the same problems, so it should be easy enough to set one WP close to the centre, and another just on the other side. But thats no good if you want a smooth flyover shot of the island. Did you have to "stitch" some islands together? or is it a bug with OFP?

I really liked your music Cassandra. The tracks have been queued up in my Winamp since Sunday. Some really nice tunes. And having them available through the editor will be great, as it'll help mission makers keep their file sizes down. Is this the trend now? Will future Cassie tracks be available the same way? How about previous tracks ( i.e the BH ones )? As for the lack of credit - I wouldnt worry about it, this Community is just fickle like that. You could have Vangellis and Prodigy writing the tunes, and a lot of people would still only be bothered about being the first to spot a missing texture. Nagual - How does the CAS work? I've called Strikes through the menu, and can hear the craft flying overhead, but have no idea how you direct their strike. Maybe a little explanation in the briefing, or have I missed something simple? And HOW ON EARTH did you manage to make 8 quality sp/mp missions in 4 days? Do you use templates? Most people couldnt make even 1 decent mission in 4 days ( i.e me ). I think you need to share some of your tips and secrets ( as well as finally getting Spets1.2 uploaded somewhere. )

Kick-Ass trailer! Can't wait to get my hands on all those cool looking British Units. Who were the guys featured BTW? RM? Para? SAS? I hope you make some SAS units with those Backpacks, I got a few great ideas for Missions with SAS boys like that. ( God bless Channel 4 )

:Monkey stares in disbelief at all the pretty things running smoothly on his little GeForce2. Spellbinding stuff. Superb work BAS! Thanks Tonnes. Now we got the full set, I bet its gonna be raining BlackHawks soon.

Who's the chick? In the song in the intro. I checked the readme, and read the thread and could see nothing. Thanks in advance.

No expert by any stretch ... but I always reference the file by the same name i.e bob.ogg , class bob, name bob   etc... edit : actually on 2nd look, it does look a bit funky, try this : <table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE">class CfgMusic { tracks[]= { where }; class where { name = "where"; sound[] = {\music\where.ogg, db+0, 1.0}; }; };

Ok, immense hangover and Delhi-Belly aside ... Really liked the Intro, some great camera angles and interesting shots ( James, picking up the phone and sitting down, I dont remember if that was a piece of BIS animation, or you added that, if its yours then superb touch ). The base where James gets in the APC looks a bit barren, needs a few more random objects dotted around I think. Loved the intro music, sounded modern in parts but suited the intro perfectly. Mission ending when you board the plane - it would be nicer to have the plane take off and end shortly after that, or was that not possible? Also, is it possible to remove the pop-up tool-tips, if anyone playing OFP now still needs them, then I truly feel sorry for them. Anyway, I was playing along quite nicely, not getting any kills as usual ( I love the Inv44 mod, but cant stand ANY of the weapons, I cant hit diddly with any of them other than the BAR, realism sucks at times ) and mid way through the cutscene at the makeshift graveyard ( during the zoom on the grave with dogtags ) I got a CTD with the error message "Campaign Structure Fault" ( or something like that ) which I've never had with OFP in all these years. So I went back and tried the mission again and the same happened at the same point in the cutscene ... Its a new one on me. Good stuff so far though, even if a little over-familiar by now, though its good that you're going to be adding your own missions, I think it really needs it, played that Campaign once too often to want to play it all the way through the same again. I just need to hack the Inv44 pbo's now so I can arm myself with a BAS_M249, then we'll show those pesky Germans who's the Daddy.

I'd say thats a matter of personal preference though. If you look at the 3d model on the Aimpoint website ( http://www.aimpoint.com/3d/3d.htm ) it actually looks to me that the BAS Aimpoint dot is perhaps too small. I'd rather have realism over preference anyday. And having the dot less/more opaque is a realistic request because you can alter that on the actual real sight itself. I know BAS can't script in an option to alter the opacity ( they already explained why ) but I'm still trying to find some way to make probably my favourite weapon with my favourite unit a little more usable for me.

Never got into any trouble, but it has encroached on Real Life on more than one occassion. Once I was walking through Leeds city centre, and saw a Black-Op Chinook flying low overhead. For the briefest second I reached for my non-existant AK47 and started looking around for something to hide behind. I must have looked very odd to any onlookers... Another time I was playing CTi with my mate and what must have been 2 very low flying jets blasted over my house. For a second or two I actually believed that the enemy had found my location and fired cruise missiles at me. I honestly believed the end was nigh ... pretty damned scary. It should be noted that I was under the influence at the time ...

Hi, Is it possible to make CSV files without MSExcel? I refuse to buy any more MS products ( and can't be bothered obtaining them in other ways ) and I recently had to delete my Linux partition with Star/Kde Office due to lack of HD space. Are there any other Apps out there I can use on a Winbox or can they be made as text files, and if so whats the format? Any help as always appreciated.

Will the new D&R's weapons have new sights? Specifically the aimpoint ... After another hour or so attempting ( following directions ) to edit every red-dot .pbo in the archive to increase its opacity, I still have yet to make even the slightest bit of difference to the dot in-game. I know it seems a little niggle to non colour-blind people, but its a pain to see more than half your shots go nowhere near your target cause you can't see where you're aiming.

I'd noticed your comments on OFPEC about the Tut, and was kinda hoping this thread might stir you ( or anyone ) into action. I've looked at others .csv files to try and understand, but its the custom voice/radio part I need to get to grips with. The voice Tut on OFPEC just says: which is all good and everything, but doesnt tell you HOW to create a "text string", or what other stuff you can do with the csv file. I'm glad you're having a go at writing a decent Tutorial, for such an important file, the current Tut is just no good at all. Good luck with writing it, and please let us know when its done. Cheers! Poet.

Yeah, but its a lot quicker in a spreadsheet, and Open Office completely Roxors ( its basically the same as Star Office, but free, you hear that Gates? Free you b*st*rd! )

Cool, didnt know about them. Thanks man. God bless the Open Source Community. Now all I need to do is find a decent tutorial on how to make, edit and use them ... worst tutorial I've seen yet on OFPEC.

About the NVG's, it would make it too easy to give them to all units, how about just with the Covert-Ops and remove his binocs to balance it out? As for the objectives, thats easy, you could have a locate the missing persons objective ( could be neighbours, the press, or even better local under-cover police officers who no-ones heard from for weeks - which is why you get sent in... ) or you could keep to the Davidian theme and put in an objective to locate and destroy or identify any weapon/ammo caches ( that would force the player to explore as well ) and discover what happened to the ATF agents that went before you ... One other thing - the first time I played the mission, there was a part near the beginning where everything suddenly seemed to flash red and some more spooky music started up, pretty scary and cool, but it never happened to me again when I replayed the mission. Not sure what happened there. Thanks for a great mission, wish I could help with the hosting. "Tango Down!" indeed!

I could be wrong, but from memory all you need to do is put : CHOPPERNAME flyinheight XX in the "On Activation" field of the WP, or if that doesnt work try a trigger at the WP with the same. ( the trigger way worked for me

Billy the Ranger begins to regret last nights late viewing of "The Blair Witch" ... Billy, unaware that Dave the Terrorist has left his contact-lenses at home, begins to fill his combat trousers ... will the smell give him away?

Wow, beautiful mission. Easily some of the most creative layouts I've seen and the atmosphere is stunning. You need to find another host for the file, 2 hours for a file that small was a serious pain. About the mission: 1. I know they would spoil the mission, but I couldnt help feeling that only an idiot or truly psychologically disturbed Spec-Ops is going to go into a situation like that with no Night-Visions ... 2. The menu and option for weapon layout is very cool, but why do the weapons spawn with no ammo selected? Have you added weapons before ammo? 3. I picked up a load of clues from the graveyard and house, cleared the objectives and the went to the 2nd house where I shot the hostages' captor, and the mission ended. What were the clues about? What was left to do? 4. In the garden of the first house, with the hut thing and ladder, when I went into the lower part of the hut, I could see the arm of a baddy sticking through the wall ( from where the tents and fire are ) so I shot him in the arm and he fell to the floor where I had to shoot him through the table to kill him. 5. Maybe add a patrol at the back of the 2nd house? I was able to sneak round the forest and up the back of the house without encountering any enemy. 6. It looked like the mission tried to run an Outro, but I only saw a brief flash of "Cannot load mission: Missing Addon BAS_Weap.pbo" etc. which I know I do have. ( I had the same problem with an intro, which was solved in this thread : Here ) Great work though.

I was a Codemasters fan when the first TOCA came out, it had the best driving physics of any game out there and I loved it. One thing that has always puzzled me: when I first started playing Flashpoint, I couldnt help feeling that the driving/land-vehicle physics felt somewhat familiar. I always wondered if Codemasters assisted or contributed in any way to the physics...
