Yep my BAS tangos are back, I have reinstalled the Tonal pack, and while running the latest patch, I've found that BASOPP was very big, I've messed with the patch installer long ago.........shame on me. As for the message "statup.sqs not found", I've found that it was a @ECP mod related problem, since I used it, then removed the path "-mod=@ECP".I don't know what makes OFP looking for this path? as I've removed the line "-mod=@ECP", but I'm confident I will sort this out. If some want a "healthy" copy of the Tonal pack I suggest this link: http://sbiofpmonitor.dip.jp/files/index.html And the patches are there too. TO BE CONTINUED.

Thanks Lionel for visiting me ;).Well inside my Res\Dta folder I got several items that I have compared with the contents of my Resistance CD, execpt one file who is not on the CD: DTAEXT.PBO, tell me all if you got such a file. On the game side, Nogova,Desert and addons' islands work fine, these are just the good old islands eg: Everon, In the editor the old maps are plain white, but houses, bushes, are in places, same for the units I put on them, everything is normal, only the white soil make them somewhat "snow" maps. Tonali works fine, even if OFP told me everytime that it cannot find "BASOPFOR", again I got it in my Addons folder.

Well still got "startup.sqs not found". When Flashpoint launch, there's no more music backround, in the mission editor when doing a "preview", if I'm killed on the russain side I got no "bird" escape from game eg ABORT button, instead I got normal view, but I'm "dead" so........Ctrl+Alt+Suppr to quit the game. In game I got only weapons and explosions sounds, no voices at all.

Hi all, when lauching ofp 1.91 or 1.94, 1.95 I got the message "Script startup.sqs not found". Game runs "fine" but I got no voices, all sounds are working except soldiers voices eg: "ALL MOVE TO....." etc. Got white ground on islands, was fixed by running OFPpreferences. My BASopfor soldiers are AWOL (missing addon BASopfor)?? while the Tonal island works fine. Finnaly I got FDFmod who runs smooth and easy, so is my problems related to corrupted files,addons?? Taking any advices, solutions.Thanks all.

Well as a lot of Readme, indicate to put the addons into the Res Addons' folder, I was curious about your choice to place addons in general, depending of the version eg:1.75,1.91 or the new "model" invoked sometimes in the addon's Readme. Personnaly, after a complete reinstall of OFP/Res up to 1.94; I've decided to put ALL addons in the Addons' folder of OFP, instead of putting some in Res Addons' folder, or mixing addons between the two OFP folders, after what the addonmaker tell you in his Readme. Having made few addons myself, I did the same thing, considering it would be better for the end users to put my addon into the Res Addons' folder, until I've read somewhere that is was useless, and that every addons should go into the Addons's folder. Since then I put all addons, the first made before Resistance release, as the latest requesting to be placed into Res Addons' folder, and so far I didn't get any troubles.

Will aae.msi or installers kill ofp?

Well I agree AAE just spread folders with the PBOs inside them into OFP, so each time I have to manually displace PBOs, and remove the useless folders. So the advantage that AAE should give, totally miss the target, I can imagine the "newbie" looking deseperatly for his new addon in game, while the addon itself stay quiet in its own pretty folder. The fashion of RAR files boring me a lot too, since it does the same trick, extracting folders with PBOs inside, and not putting PBOs directly into the Addons folder of OFP. I agree that for large files, including several addons, like mods, the RAR format is ok, but for GOD's sake don't use RAR format for small files eg: 10mb to 20mb. As always the good old ZIP is the best, and one prog that everybody knows and use, as for the beginners too, just read the Readme, that's the way. Conclusion RAR format is excelent for its compression rate, but not useful as the ZIP, plus newcomers will hesitate to download your addon, no matters how nice it is. -
Great work BAS, if not awsome, thinking of the work you've put into that project, and for FREE!. HD weapons, even with the first Campaign were fun and added "extra time" to play, but as usual release HD/JAM weapons and some will argue they would prefer no HD weapons and so on................ The islands were beautiful, landscapes, new bridges, houses and all others things that gave you feeling to be somewhere in Africa. The "bug" thread has good inputs, but looking in very detailed points like the color of the curtains (drapes), the wall you can go trough, don't make the islands less great, or funny to play on. To Nagual I can't wait a tutorial, for making missions "Å• la Nagual", with templates ready to use (scripts for CAS, intro with the picture and simple camera cutscene.......). To all if you want a totally bug free Tonal pack, just made your own, or be agree to buy it. Quote me like hell now ;)

I don't think Dauragon has OFP so bright, I got too the inverse problem when taking screenshots in OFP pictures are too darken; and I use GrabClipSave program, all screens taken outside OFP got correct brightness, any idea for a good screens program?. Help appreciated.

Ok 4N1 you totally missed the point, with the bridge, puling the chute and others funny things, my post has nothing to do with good piloting, the Blackhawk like many helicopters and planes have a co-pilot or navigator if you like, since the MH-60 has a co-pilot seat, I just want to fill it with a pilot or any unit I'd like. Ok Deadmeat noted. As you're talking about realism, I don't see what is so unrealistic to have a "navigator/co-pilot", another pilot doing nothing but just as scenary in the UH-60 cockpit, since in the real life there's always a co-pilot. In the BIS UH-60 you can put a pilot next to the pilot, or to makes short, put an empty UH-60 and put your squad in it, the left front seat will be filled, but not in your BAS UH-60, so let's say the left front seat can't be used at all, I was thinking that it would be a very basic feature.

Thanks BAS, I was really impressed by the texturing details "rivets". While playing with the UH-60s I was unable to put a co-pilot in the free seat, I wanted it just for scenary as the co-pilot dosen't exist in OFP, my ideal is 1 pilot, 1 co-pilot, 1 crew gunner, 1 crew to operate boarding and so on. So far no probs for a gunner, and a crew "in cargo", but how to put a pilot in the front seat, next to the pilot (driver)??? I'm not talking of the DAP version. As others pointed previously, I liked the not so old SOARs units, why not implement them with just a "retagging" to make them again available?? Again thanks to pushing the limits of OFP ;)

Hi all and first thanks to try my addon, and your interest, I should continue to improve my work, but I'd like to work with a mod team, as beeing alone takes time to finalize things, and I miss the skills to redo units' model with Oxygen Light. To Miles Teg: I agree than having Chechen with beards could be implemented as a pbo, and used in the mission editor for the mission makers, with the setFace command.I don't know if anyone has succeeded in giving specific faces to soldiers without player action. As for the "ushanka" you have displayed in the topic, I think older people use it only, Chechen as far I know use caps, berets, baclava or nothing; vaster subject. To TopCover: You pointed it, I got the information about Combat Trio, from a Russian analysis of the first war in Grozny. To Gollum1: Yes they're very basic for the moment, as I said I'd like to work with a mod team.

I'm more than happy to see new Russians forces for special use, so I don't care if the BAS units had one grenade more, or better weapons or anything else, that addon is in no way competiting against U.S S.F, and the scenarios I envision would be more in the Chechen conflict than the old cold war rivalry. The LSR addon is good, and it looks like a base for more elaborate units, because OFP is an infantry game above all and not a flightsim, less and less new units are made while we are overfeeded by useless planes, carriers etc..... By the way I'm waiting for an Ural truck without WHITE bache, and "emergency" bumper stickers, you see just a flat green to be .....unoticed, and maybe a version unbached.

Serapis are the so called real survivants got rights and make money on that event?? So we can jail any movie's makers for insulting survivants, families and so on; for any movies showing past war events. So if the way is to make profit with "my dad,son was an hero" and whining on forums to say how the comon crowd would be ashamed of talking, wanting more informations, or just make a game relating the story via OFP, all that is very pathetic. First you could ask a pardon for every Russians AI units you have killed in OFP, contact their families, cause it could be based on real caracters who knows.
