I had an F**k head for a squad leader, and my officers, a Major and three Lieutenants did nothing but sit around in their officer and smoke bloody ciggerettes in their office! And having a military unit run by 15 year old idiots does NOT work so i said screw this, and I left. They constantly broke the Cadet rules and all that stuff. It is part of the Military, so i have been in the military! And Im not even a Australian citizen! To pay them back, I kept my spare uniform that they dont know I have Pretty cool camoflauge, and I even have the badge! One bivuac with them was enough, more like a bloody kiddy camp with uniforms! All the crap you could expect from school kids*sigh* But I still plan to join the army when I am a big boy This link should get you somewhere...... Thats the stuff, very interesting. I am always amazed at how much stuff the American forces have, mostly that their marines are a whole seperate service! Why can't the navy support them in ships and planes?

People should be accepted regardless of race. I know this doesn't always happen, but positive discrimination is not the answer!

The Southern economy relied on blacks, and the North was industrial. The issue was forced when the North kept getting more states to outnumber the south in congress. (Ever wondered where Maine came from?) This forced the South to go independant, the North did not distill and forcibly re-united them. Lincoln himself said "If abolishing slavery would save the Union I would do it, If keeping slavery would save the Union I would do it." He had the perception and good judgement to know that if America was to survive the machinations of Britain and France they would need to be united.
