Sorry, I fail to see the causal relationship... We don't forbid chatting entirely, it's just that with a lot of players the huge stream of chat messages of those either dead or busy with something else than the game can get in the way of the game itself and the orders that are given. It has nothing to do with enhancing realism, it's just a practical matter.

I got disconnected because I didn't had the Camel, apparently. I have it now, but the mission is taking too long so I'll have some sleep instead. I used to have a series of a few minutes good fun playing between an almost continuous stream of crashes to desktop. After a total reinstall of my system, and installing OFP clean with only the basic addons I used (FDF and the like, later added Sanctuary anims), nowadays I can play with hardly facing any problems. You just have to keep reinstalling until everything works fine, and after that never touch it again

Reputation killers? That's ridiculous, OFP is a very social game, you can distinguish anyone easily by playing with them for more than five minutes. Second, it is just plain moronic to copy ones nick. What do you gain from that? And third, why would a log-in system stop anyone from using the same nick on his computer as you do?

Player ID? No, it remains a secret code to gain access, player IDs aren't secret. It just differs from a password in that it contains only numbers. Your PIN is a passcode for instance.

Nice interview WhoCares; Passcode is an existing word. It's used for a password that consist only of a numeric combination.

Don't know if this was there all the time, but this line at the bottom of the Armed Assault page makes it seem that there is quite a lot of distance between BIS and CM, altough official statements imply a reunion is still a possibility. Furtermore it says BIS is distributing the game itself, so the quest for a new publisher might not be there.

Personally I like the blurry part. It makes it more of a blend in whole instead of a collection of pictures. Nice work Albert, looks great!
