Oh and the black box at the top left of the briefing screen does play video clips. My camera just has a delay and didn't catch it until it was in transition.

Well I was going to do some kind of announcement about the article, but you guys are just too fast. Seriously, I was editing it and making sure it looked right and you just happened by in that window of a few minutes. You're good. Anyways, so the article is up. Didn't get too much new info, but do have some blurry screens. Some nitpicky things in there. Didn't even mention the missing anims (I'm sure BIS will take full advantage of their motion capture studio for the final build). It is what it is. As if you guys haven't seen it by now here is the link http://ww2ec.3dactionplanet.gamespy.com/content.php?article.9. My thanks to placebo, Bohemia, and IDEA Games for working with me and sharing the information. And ThruYerStErNuM, I know you too.

There is an official WWIIEC campaign released for the island. It includes 7 missions, and you fill the role of both infantry and airborne during the first 5 days of the Allied push into Anjou. 14.3 MB Download From FilePlanet (it's free to join)

We already have missions in the work for OFP_PUPSI's beautiful island. Expect a cooperative offensive against the Nazi occupied region of Anjou based around interlaced missions of I44's 82nd Airborne and our own US Army Pack. And for you mission designers, the island still gets awesome FPS even under a full mission scenario.

I was lucky enough to attend E3 last week. Well maybe not so much lucky as the money came out of my own pocket and I had to drive 22 hours straight from Dallas to Los Angeles to get there, but I digress. The guys from Bohemia were kind enough to meet with me on Thursday. There I had a chance to talk with Maruk Spanel, Bart Van Paassen, and Paul Statham (placebo) about BIS's projects. I even got a hands on with the Xbox version of the game. I was blown away. For anyone doubting OFP and BIS's ability to compete with EA and Battlefield, you should be ashamed. I was able to see that BIS is spending a lot of time to NOT make a mindless shooter. The OFP games will have depth of gameplay that has never been seen in a FPS before. But Before I start rambling I'll stop there. I have already posted two articles, one for the PC and one for the Xbox, on the World War II Engineer Corps website. It can be found at http://www.3dactionplanet.com/flashpoint/ww2ec. Thank you and enjoy.

Let's see, if I remember correctly placebo was about 8 feet tall. Must have been about 400 pounds. Had a Grizzly Adams beard. I mean this guy was a monster. I swear I saw him eat a baby for lunch. What he says goes. I wouldn't screw with him. Don't want him eating anymore babies. Oh and sorry my pics suck. I have to upload everything for the University computer lab since my apartment doesn't have internet right now. The computer lab comps are outdated and shitty.

i like the sound of that. Does it mean that we will be able to go underwater as well? Nope. water==death

At first I thought you were talking about AA in this paragraph, with the part about being based on VBS1 and also the normal texture mapping. Â But then you start talking about OFP2. Â Is OFP2 also based on the VBS1 engine? Â It looks like a completely new engine to me. Â If so I hope they change to using bump mapping for the textures. It sounds like you got a good look at the skill system. Â Im curious, is there anything like vehicle specific skills? Â It would be awesome if you could develop your character into specializing in different vehicle postions like helo pilot or tank gunner. Â Or is it more generic than that?A system like that would be sweet in MP, so that you wouldnt have guys flying their own helos to combat zones than ditching them and fighting on foot. Â One of the worse parts of current MP is having to wait for a vehicle to respawn because some idiot took the last chopper on his own and ejected over the combat zone so he can go rambo style. AA and OFP2 will have similar engines. They are both based off technology that came with the VBS1 development. From what I understand Bohemia is planing on having AA work as a bridge, or as a taste of what is going to come with OFP2. As for the skills system I really didn't get a chance to see it. But Bart Van Paassen seems to be very excited about the possibilities it will open up. I don't think there is a finalized set of skills that will be upgradable (at least not ready for the public) but I would assume increasing vehicle skills (girls like guys with skills, like bow skills) is a possibility.

You guys don't really know alot about OFP editing do you? Here are two WWII addon sites: http://ofp.info/Marss911 http://www.foxypro.dk/regiment1.htm And check the Pre-1985 forum at http://www.ofpeditingcenter.com for more addons. Hope this helps.

Did any of you download the West Leak Springs (I think that was the name) that the guys from ofpinternals released? It was only like 700kb. I'm not worried.
