Artillery in Arma, how to use?

The guys over at http://www.armed-assault-zone.com/news.php might host it for you. In the meantime you can always use http://www.megaupload.com/ and then post the link here. PACO454
  2. There is another thread on this subject, however I wish to bring to attention a bug dealing with SLI which I have tested and confirmed to be a bug. Bug. ArmA.exe not responding to driver call for SLI "CUSTOM" profile. Test conditions: Using a known WHQL v93.71 working video driver which retains custom profiles, a profile is set under application profiles with "application" set to "ArmA.exe" and "Active Profile" named "ArmA" using "Alternate Frame Rendering" in the SLI options. This setting is retained after exit of the control panel and then returning to it. ------------------------------------------ Situation: Loading a test map using the ArmA.exe profile I get 19 FPS. As mentioned is the other thread, I made a copy of the ArmA.exe and named it to 3dmark06.exe and then set the profile to use 3dmark06, a default nVidia profile. FPS jump to 28 Further testing. Created another profile and set under application profiles with "application" set to "3damrk06.exe" and "Active Profile" named "ArmA" using "Alternate Frame Rendering" in the SLI options. FPS 19 Same as the first test with the ArmA.exe Tested custom profiles I made for other games, rFactor, GTR 2 with different SLI settings, each one acting as expected with no problems. ------------------------------------------- Conclusion: Creating a custom profile from a known working WHQL driver, which retains CUSTOM profiles, the ArmA.exe or renamed ArmA.exe (3dmark06.exe) fails to use SLI in CUSTOM profile. The ArmA.exe whatever it's named to is not calling the driver SLI portion of the video drivers when used in a "CUSTOM" profile. However if a default driver profile, (3Dmark06) is used and ArmA.exe is renamed to the 3dmark06.exe of the default profile, SLI is enabled in game giving a 32% boost in FPS, indicating SLI is working in game. It appears making any "custom profile" for ArmA.exe is failing to use SLI when enabled, yet other games are using SLI when enabled in a custom profile. This indicates there is a bug preventing the game from using the SLI portion of a "custom profile". --------------------------------------------------- A custom profile is required if you wish to use SLI because ArmA is "NOT" included as a default profile. There are also a good number of other video drivers out there which do not retain custom profiles, which their supposed to, which compounds the problem. I made sure to use a known driver with a working profile control panel. ----------------------------------------- I hope I have provided enough information to have this issue addressed. Aircraft don't shoot at enemies

I would like to know the answer to this question. When i select a chooper to do the same thing if fires on the tanks, but when i ask the AV-8B to do the same things they just fly around. I have tried "dotaget" "dofire" and still I get no action. Any help would be great. Is this a bug? Suma, Placebo? PACO454

    Sound cracking/spiking on exit.

None of my other games do it. Only ArmA. It's not disconnecting from the game clean. Also sometimes when i fire my gun I get no sound from it. Other times the gun fire lags, sometimes 1 to seconds then I hear it. PACO454
  7. Tanks won't fire on me yet I have set them in the editor to 100% skill. Only when I shoot a machine gun at them do they fire, otherwise I can walk right up on them, past them, around them. Armor with ATGM just ignore me yet they to are set to 100% skill. Only AT soldiers detect my presince and actually fire on me. I can drive through a town full of tanks and ATGM BMP's and not one will shoot at me unless I fire off a bullet at them. Kinda stupid if you ask me. Anti air armor seem to be working fine and attack aircraft as expected. I ask that enemy armor detection and response by the AI be increased as to reflect and match this situation. When an enemy tank, bmp ATGM, or any armored weapon is sitting in front of me 100 yards away, it see's me and fires on me with it's cannon/guns/missille as it should with out me firing a shot. If I get out of my tank, I expect the machine gunner to open fire at me as it should. The current situation doesn't reflect this and I concider it a bug. Also when I place a H invisable or not and then move it, (or even delete it), somewhere else the air AI still see it and try to land there even though their waypoints and the H have been moved away from it. I concider this a bug as well. 8. You'd think after all these years they would have support for more than one stick at a time. The game only supports one joystick at a time. Sorry... Old game with new face but same old options. Please support more than one joystick. BIS you listening. SUMA??? PACO454
  9. Why after, what is it 6 years after OFP first came out, that today in 2006, ArmA with all the new technology, BIS is unable to support more than one joystick at a time? This is "unacceptable" in my opinion and I ask BIS to "please" allow the game to use more than one stick/wheel at the same time. Also there is a need to have a sliderbar to control sensitivity as the flying of choppers with a joystick is close to impossible. For example with the saitek x52 when using the rudder the aircraft spins so fast at the very hint of rudder control when hovering, it make it impossible to make fine corrections in flight yet alone fly. I ask BIS to please correct this situation. I would like to thank BIS for allowing manual fire which if you remeber was heated topic early on in OFP in which I fought, BIG TIME to have implamented after it was removed. Thankyou for keeping that function in this game. Please keep up the good work and please correct the conditions which I mentioned, thank you, PACO SKIINOFF System Specs DFI Lanparty UT nf4 SLI-D (BIOS) 03/10/05 AMD Athlon 64 4000+ San Diego S939 @ 2.8GHZ OCZ 2GB PC4000 EB Platinum Edition Dual DDR/2 x 1024MB 2x BFG GeForce 7800GTX 256meg (SLI) SoundBlaster Audigy 2 Maxtor 40+80+120 Gig Drives Enermax 600W EG701AX-VE SFMA Power supply Thermalright XP 90c heatsink /w 92mm highflow fan WinXP Pro SP2
