I installed the this mod last night and played some Evo Blue+ on 1.09b. The new smoke effects are much nicer. Thanks Matt!

The game crashes quickly whilst using -maxmem=2048. Anyone know why this would be? -maxmem=1024 is stable.

Do you play mainly online or offline? The -maxmem command improves things massively for me when playing Evo online. Can anyone BIS confirm why larger -maxmem commands crash?

I play with 4Gb on XP x64 ok. -maxmem is set at 1024, as I think 2048 makes the game crash.

I think CPU speed helps massively with performance. Getting another 150Mhz out of my CPU probably helped me raise settings further than going from a x1950xtx to a 3870.

I am running 1.09 with -maxmem 1024, which is running better for me than anything else so far. May try -maxmem 2048 to see if that works any better. I only really play EVO online...

Love the fact that I don't need the DVD in the drive to play with 1.09!

I play online only, mainly on EVO servers with the computer in my sig and still find frame rates dropping to the low 20s occasionally, which is pretty annoying. However, the most annoying thing I find is what I call "texture lag" where textures take a few seconds to load. This is especially noticeable on destroyed vehicles, where the damage skin takes a few seconds to load over the normal skin. However, it also happens on walls and floors, for instance when respawning at base after a long time in the field. Other problems include vehicle shapes and textures not loading fully straight away. Wheels appear square to start and textures very flat and detail less before progressively becoming better. This also happens when running ArmedA Mark (or whatever it is called). I am not sure if some of these problems are server side but I definitely know for them to be happening in ArmedA Mark it is my end. I have done everything I can to try to prevent this and my computer should be powerful enough for this not to happen. Does anyone have any tips?

I agree with all these points. I try to play as an engineer to get points from repairing vehicles but I rarely do, even if I repair all the damaged vehicles in a town that has been cleared. Is there a guaranteed way to get points from vehicle repairs? What I would like to see most is a manual about how to play and the objects in the game like FARPs and MASHs etc.

I have the same problems in my multiplayer games. It seems like a lot of texture lag and gets worse the longer the game goes on. For instance, wheels on HUMVEEs will be square for a second or two before loading the proper texture. I have a high end computer (see sig) and a fast Internet connection and the game is newly installed on a defragmented Raptor hard drive. It's pretty annoying... AA only ever seems to use about 700mb of RAM, I wish it would use more if it would get rid of this problem, if the two are related.

I get this a little too. It's not the most annoying little bug for me but I still wish it didn't happen.
