    Yea i know, but its going to be alot better than the Beta as its more refined better designed more stable. But just a abit more info the Standard is designed for MP in mind so its designed to use very very limited resources to max fps, whilst the super ver is more designed for those who want full details and all the options. Theres some new effects which will be rolled out is well and new lighting where distant explosions will light up clouds and stuff, trying to match shockwaves to sound etc. Its just that some of the effects are very very complicated not impossible just mind melting to keep track of but so far its getting alot better and things are constantly moving ahead.

    Many many changes coming soon, its going to be a epic release. :) Phoenix Beta was just a sparkler compared to some of the shit ive been messing with hehe. As with the new build for phoenix its made alot of things possible so i been experimenting as you proberly know. Yes smoke grenades and vehicle CS are standalones, alot of big changes from the beta, theres now two versions of the mod oooo, one is standard the other is not. The other one will be called "Super Phoenix" I think you can guess the rest where this is going.

    Well i did do some testing few years back with attached lights and someone did make a mod with lights on tracer fire but i dropped my attempts because it caused other lights to get cut off because i think the game only 128.

    Ok im gonna start trying to make a update, atm i got so much stuff thats WIP and incomplete in the mod which is whats holding up the update i will try and make a version with stuff thats working and stable, seems like i need make 2 versions, a WIP version for myself and another one i can actually release without all the experimental shit.

    Well the mod has always been designed mainly for SP than MP as it demands more resources and FPS to function properly. The smoke grenades and other things which may cause issues in MP games are currently being made standalone addons so that should solve some issues.

    Only smoke grenades and vehicle countermeasures for tanks. Just a update on wats goin on. - Making new effects atm for aircraft hitting ground, few changes regarding the effects for explosions trying to add more randomness to the effects explosions so they don't appear the same style. Also working on extra effects for explosions to emit such as huge ammo explosions EOD style, working on shockwave ground, and working on new lighting. Quite a few things to finish off but getting better. Oh and working on a nuke.

    Its proberly using all the same effect, when i get finished with the main effects il work on the more smaller stuff. Just been working on some explosions for vehicles trying to make them more random and less demanding, also working on smoke grenades and vehicle countermeasures for sep addon, new lighting for explosions is getting there still abit iffy but its working sort of.

  12. Sounds good dude. But as i said before there is a workaround to the distant explosion sounds, i found out a way when making the first distant sounds script.

    You can have animated textures. I just don't use them enforce atm. Will be delayed for the update, i been out drinking and showing off my jingle bells. But have fixed tons of shit, including the smoke grenades which was because i had to merge them back into the phoenix update because they are currently supposed to be part of a single addon which is for countermeasures only.

    Yea its to do with the lighting, the lighting isnt final and is just a placeholder atm. All explosion lighting will replaced soon with a different design. Will be posting a update 2morrow night which fixes some bugs and RPT errors.

    Proberly just a missing classname for the tracers. Phoenix doesnt change the tracers, only the tracers mod affects the tracers. Have to admit i was rushing pretty hard to get phoenix into a releasable state so some things are still borky. Another thing i should mention is the lighting from explosions isnt final, i have been working on a different lighting method where the light will fade out rather than just flash but its still in its experimental stage and wasnt put in the update, theres actually alot of stuff that wasnt implemented in the update.

    Ive not tested so much with third party addons yet they shoundnt cause any issues but it happens. The default BIS effects should be using the same as the blastcore ones for effects. I know before release i spent a few hours fixing compatibility problems with RHS. I never had this many RPT errors, i think it might be because i clear empty spaces and lines in notepad++ before i pack the mod. Will release a couple of fixes soon.

    Ok hope this goes well, heres the update its not entirely finished and there will further updates coming. Had some last min changes to make sorry for the delay. Some of the effects are not final, there are other effects which is not included in the release, these are still at the experimental stage so i will be making more effects for more variety, but its time to update the mod and that the update itself is a must needed for xmas. Sorry i took awhile, it took quite some time to rebuild the effects and learn new methods in doing so which i think has paid off. Any issues let me know, im pretty sure the keys work.
