There must be some solution to this.. other than format C:
-
Why is it just OFP crashing, not the other games? I'd rather have the other games crashing and OFP working..
-
Disabling the W-Buffer might solve the crashing then? Have you tried that? I never even thought of it.. *edit* I have tested the ram with various programs and they all said it was ok.. so RAM shouldnt be the reason for the crashing on my computer. Since my OFP used to work just fine.. and then one day it started crashing.. oh! i forgot about a bluescreen OFP once caused.. it complained something about ati3duag.dll and BFAEAFE5 and BFAIB000

Oh yes.. I have the same problem. It just throws me back to desktop without any error messages.. sometimes it freezes and starts to loop the last sound that was played. I'll try to remove the soundcard and see if it works, I'll get back to this thread after some testing. oh and.. I once had this problem before, I underclocked my gfx card (radeon 9600 pro) and the problem was gone, but now it's haunting me again even though I have decreased the clockrate even more, so it has nothing to do with overheating. I have a VIA chipset, that could be causing the problem too, but all other games work just fine.. I tried all the fixes in the VIA chipset problems thread.. and on avon lady's faq and none of those worked. any thoughts?
