) If you are running any Virtual CD device software (or other CD-ROM tools)
- such as Daemon Tools, or Clone CD - you should uninstall it.
b) The game will not run from a mapped network CD-ROM drive.
c) If you have PGP (Pretty Good Privacy) you may also have to uninstall
this.
d) Try unchecking the DMA box found under your CD/DVD-ROM properties -
settings, in Device Manager (Control Panel - System).
e) The ASPI drivers for your CD Drive may be corrupt. Links to sites where

f) Make sure you have the latest firmware updates for your CD/DVD-ROM drive
g) If you have a Sound Blaster sound card, disable the CD Detector program.
h) If you have a motherboard with a VIA chipset, make sure you have the
latest 4 in 1 drivers for it.
i) Try changing your CD-ROM/DVD-ROM from a slave device to a master device
