How far in is "Occupation"? I have just completed the tank mission where you have to annihilate the 12 tanks coming in over the plains. Is it much further?

Firstly system specs: Xp1800 256mb DDR 80GB Maxtor 7200 Gainward GeForce 3 Ultra Aureal Vortex SuperQuad WinMe Well talk about frustrating. I have just got a new HD and had reinstalled all my software and all is working fine except........ Operation Flashpoint. I thought I had better get everyting all updated prior to getting Resistance. I had the 29.32 Det drivers and tried to start OPF, it failed with this message </span><table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1"><tr><td>Quote </td></tr><tr><td id="QUOTE">Cannot create 3D device Adapter 0 (Nvidia GeForce3) Fullscreen Resolution 1024x768, format X8R8G8B8/D16, refresh 0mhz Error D3D ERR_NOTAVAILABLE<span id='postcolor'> I reverted back to 23.11 drivers using Detonator Destroyer but I still am having the problem. Any ideas?

N.o.R.S.u, can I have a location for those drivers? Since the last post I got the game to run for an hour before it froze. As it froze I heard what sounded like an electrical discharge throught the speakers. Any ideas? Apart from this the machine is rock solid in normal operation so I guess it can only be a vid problem. Thx in advance.

Satchel maybe you can help me here. I have just built a system around a ECS K7S5A mobo and an XP1800 and 384mb of PC133 and DirectX 8.1. My vid card is a generic GeForce2 GTS 32mb currently running 21.81 Dets. My prob is OpFl freezing after a short while and also the colours look all washed out. (My ex-PC was a P3 800EB and it played fine and looked good). I will try a few tweaks while I wait for replies, i.e. I believe my mobo has AGP set at 4X enabled at the mo, if I disable it will it help? I don't think it is a heat issue as in normal operation I have left it on for 48 hours and it was still as stable as a rock. The CPU is clear of any wiring and I have a side fan opposite the CPU to aid in extracting warm air (it helps to warm the room up!!. Also the vid card does not have another card next to it so its fan has a clear space.

What you need to do is arm yourself with a M21 at the start. From the top of the hill pick off patrols, then snipe the Shilka and chopper crews. Quite easy really. I then crawled around the perimeter and once inside the compound I saved. From here you can take either option, Shilka or chopper. With the Shilka you can eliminate everything that moves from within the compound. I tried with the chopper but due to a bug as soon as I flew over the house it said that the objective had been accomplished!! Somehow you pick up the papers by flying over the house

Try controlling the chopper even when the cutscene is playing. Press and hold Q to raise altitude and pull back on joystick/mouse to lift the nose. I managed to control it by doing this - it is possible.<span id='postcolor'> ditto, and don't forget to save if you manage to right the chopper!!! I managed to start flying upright then promptly got shot to bits, went back to crashing to the ground Next time I saved when I was in level flight.

The way I did it was to auto-hover about a foot or so and moved around 'til the squad started moving, I just plopped down, and they all got in.

Help with return the chopper mission - red hammer
OldGrandad replied to Clahtrien's topic in OPF MISSIONS
Ditto, I have just got to this mission and thought I was doing well It's just great trying to fly a chopper plummeting to the ground -
I stayed just to help wipe out the first wave of troops. But get the hell out coz a BMP and tank appear so you have no chance. That will help you earn some pearls

Firstly hello to all here. I d/loaded this as soon as it came out. I was at first full of hope but as soon as I started I began to doubt it. I guess it all started with a cutscene modded from the original where the Cesna was at the airfield and the guy answers the phone. Well in the mod there is a chair on open ground and a floating phone that he answers!! Griping apart, at least they have tried to do something which is a whole lot more then I could ever hope to achieve. I have stuck at it and it does give some different slants on the way you attack certain missions. For those that are getting stuck on the training because of the lack of any assault course, I first started the original game and guaged how far I had to run in metres before I had to crawl. When I put that into practice in the naked mod it worked! The bottom line is, i you have exhausted all the missions made so far it is well worth a go.
