Hi. I have read that to make a model from max to O2 the best guideline for polycount is to keep the 3Ds file under 200k. Well I'm making a model with 4500 polys so far, Still some things to be done and it is 51k when I export it to 3Ds. I guess that the 200k are for all the LODs and stuff but as they are not as detailed as the main model this could mean that we could have a 12000 polys model... I'm not planinig to go that far but is that 200k "limit" correct? Cheers

yes I understand you but what I mean right now is not the poly count. What I mean is... If you model a steering wheel for the outside model... can you select that very same wheel for the driver view? Cheers

Cool then. Anyway another question is....can you have the same poly in two diferent LODs?. This could mean... do you have to make two diferent models of ...let's say the cannon... as it's going to be seen by someone outside the vehicle (in the outside model) and the driver (in the driver view) . Cheers

Hi. I was wondering If there is any one who knows: - Limit in the poly count for the models if any.. - Also how many texture space is there for a single model - Is there a document to know all the sellection names? - How can you place the option turn in and off to get the head in or out when you are in a tank. And also change the position of the windows or other geometry when doing so.... I´ll probably get more questions as i get further in my model. Cheers

Why bikes and Minis?..... DO people really play with those vehicles? Is it just for fun? Why are those vehicles released? this is suposed to be a war simulator...If you want to keep working on it do new militar vehicles. If you want to do minis do a racing game I know that is hard to keep working on the same thing for a long time, and that some artist want to do some joke stuff they like and see it ingame.....but.......enough jokes so far. With O2 released I think that there will be (they already are) lot of "jokes" to download. I used to think that the official stuff was the good one.....but I'm still waiting for a BI Huey....or any new army vehicle. If those artist want to do their stuff I'm very happy for them to do it but please do not tell us that is a great advance or a great new vehicle.....we simply don't buy it. I'm a huge fan of Flashpoint and I'm a bit frustrated with every new "update".....Sorry if I sound mean but it's because I like this game so much. Please do a Huey or a Stallion....anithing but minis.

I'm sorry I made you waste a few seconds reading and answering me but I'm happy you can expend reading lot of time more than me If you don't want to answer me is OK. Yes, I'm almost new in this forum but I perfectly know about The development KIT that is needed. I'm a game artist in a company very close to Flashpoint. (I am already playing Red Hammer) So I know a lot about Flashpoint. I'm not asking you how to do it. I'm just posting one more drop of water in the glass so one day the glass will be full and BIS will release the development Kit. Not to sound mean but if you are not going to answer don't tell me to read all the post's as I don't have 6 weeks to waste reading all post.

Probably the problem about being a ghost is the same that the one to join a game in progress. The only reason to be a ghost is in those games like CS where you have to eliminate the enemy team. In a CTF there is no need for a Ghost
