Got that message while playing MP about an hour ago, I normally get a couple of major graphics glitches ingame (i put it down to xfire and me always minimizing and maximizing a lot) but I never got a message before until then. Anyone know if theres some kind of fix or what? A quick google and apparently its caused by running out of RAM?!?!? I have 2gb!!

My new Desert & DPM Troops

Any news on when these are gonna be released then? -
That just creates a camera looking at the selected unit it doesnt actually get on from their Point of view though does it? Although I nevcer tried setting the x,y and z co-ordinates to 0,but i'd imagine you'd just get a horrible graphics glitch as you look out from inside the players head.

crew men get in vehicle upon spotting player
NiGHT WoLF replied to Novusordo's topic in ARMA - MISSION EDITING & SCRIPTING
In a nut shell Create a hold waypoint over your Tankcrew leader guy(who ever SL is) create a trigger with the settings blufor (detected by east) or what ever your configurement for your particular mission is, and set radius to cover the battlefield. Type of trigger set to Switch. now syncronise this trigger with the hold waypoint and when you are detected or any bluefor unit is detected they will move to the getin waypoint. A note to make about using the MoveinDriver technique is that they will jump into the tank and you wont get the climbing in animation, they would even just jump in if the waypoint was across the map. Its a price to pay for the method you use, i dont actually know any other methos though. Perhaps OrderGetInDriver? if that exists you will have to try it. -
It'd be animations because its what the character model does nothing to do with physics really.

My bad for bringing back a deceased topic but my questions really short. I'm havihng difficulty with having a vehicle as a respawn point, I though it'd be a simple job of setting the vehicle i want to respawn as BASE in this case but nooooo... Respawn = "BASE"; RespawnDelay = 25; thats what i have in the description.ext so yeh any help on making a vehicle (5t truck) a spawn point will be super, i'v looked for an answer but having difficulty locating the appropraite anwser

Pop up targets to stay down
NiGHT WoLF replied to A.J.Sawyer's topic in ARMA - MISSION EDITING & SCRIPTING
best thing to do is probably a trigger with a count down of 120seconds, then do the On act as "targetname animate["terc",0]" (or which ever one sets it in the up position). you'd obvioustly have to have the conditions done properly but i'm not to sure how you'd go about doing that. -
localising triggered text and
NiGHT WoLF replied to NiGHT WoLF's topic in ARMA - MISSION EDITING & SCRIPTING
thanks for that, anyone know the answers to the rest of them? I got 1 more question as well, I am making a mission where the blufor have to "snatch" an independant officer (they are set to enemy), the problem I am having is that he is to get inside a littlebird when its called it to take him away and out the area, I have done a "setcaptive" in a trigger for when the LB lands but everytime he tries to get in the LB the pilot gets out, jumps back in and flies off with out him. Anyone know how to get around this so he will actually co-operate and get in the chopper? and get taken away? -
Hey guys got a few questions about triggers, firstly, in my triggers I have set the effects to bring up a text message on the screen, this however brings the text up even for someone the other side of the island, how can I set it so that the text only appears for those setting off the trigger? secondly, in my mission I have targets which pop up as the player walks into the trigger, how can I set it so that the trigger doesnt actually get set off again until a group of units have passed (a timer will do) with out having the target popping up as different units in the group walk into the trigger? ps- does anyone know if the urban patrol script would work in rural areas? or is it purely for urban areas? pps - 1 more question (i hope), using the urban patrol script you have to put rectangular markers on the ground which unfortunutly appear in game and if you have a lot of the markers for different patrols can make the map look horrible and unusable, is it possible to still have the markers but make them so they cant be seen by the blufor units? I imagine it can be done by making them markers for the opfor but i dont quite know how to do that. Thanks a bunch in advance
