Secondary Ops Manager Module Discussion

I have a question about multiplayer SecOps. I am making an open ended mission where there are primary objectives and of course the secops. I have the module working and all, but after about 3 secop missions HQ never calls again. Is there a timer? Can I make so that the sec ops are infinite and keep going forever? -

That doesn't make sense.. How do you know he would have killed you, no one knows anything about what BIS did with the bigfoot or if he is even in the game yet. I have no doubts it will be in the game but I doubt that the thing in your video is the Bigfoot model. It looks an awful lot like the ghillie suit. The fact that you were filming and didn't get close enough to see it in any kind of detail other than it looking like a sniper with no rifle proves to me that it is not the actual bigfoot that BIS will have in the game. I placed a sniper in the woods in the same spot as yours, removed his gun and had him walk at limited speed and it looked extremely close to what is picture in your video. I will even go as far as to recreate that scene later tonight and film it when I get back from work.

I'm sorry man, I'm not convinced. It looks too much like the ghillie sniper without the gun. The fact that you did not get close enough to film it in detail leads me to think its fake. That and from what I heard they aren't implementing it until patch 1.02.

Interesting, it's hard to tell from that distance what it really looks like so I'm still up in the air about it. Did you have the animal module placed in the editor on when you filmed this?

If this is in fact for real.. Is it activated with the wildlife animals module or put somewhere in campaign?

I would like to see some sort of jolt, or blur effect when firing an AT launcher. Right now its a bit bland and lacks that immersive quality. It doesn't have to be some overboard camera shaking but some sort of indication that I have just fired a rocket from my shoulder. Thanks.

Uploaded a new multi-player game play video. It is made up of clips from Evolution and is all intense urban fighting. Has a couple of game play features like some destroyed buildings and some suppressive fire from a tank. Enjoy and sorry about the shotty fps. -
I heard he wont be released until a later version, likely the 505 release because he is not currently in the game.

Here is a short video I made while in a 50 person multiplayer coop match earlier today. There is not a whole lot of action because I was not in the game for very long but I got some good shots of a large scale troop dropoff by multiple helicopters as well as an airborne drop on a town. Sorry no sound, fraps still wont record sound for me :( -

Hello, I made a short video showing the Civilian/Civilian vehicle modules in action. As a mission maker I was interested in what these modules had to offer and was very impressed with them because they were dynamic and a city never seems to populate in the same way twice. It really gave a sense of depth in the environment to watch people casually go about their day, and then ruin it for them :( -
given the direct quote from Maruk: "in the same time we are also finalizing an updated version of the game that should be the version to be released later next month in other territories (including North America, the official announcements coming soon)" I'm guessing it means we will get it next time like everyone else??

Question regarding Mission Editor

Hey, I didn't look for him because I don't have the game yet but I did put a paypal bounty on his head for the first who gets video footage of the legendary beast. I was later informed that it wont be implemented until patch 1.02 :( -

Have you tried using a flying vehicle to enter the clouds. I do not have the game, but from what I saw in videos of the f-35 flying through very nice looking clouds. I'm not sure how they will look from the ground. I agree with an editing sub forum, I am very much interested in the modules and how they work so I hope an editing wiki comes out soon. -
I am almost prepared to set a paypal bounty for video of the rumored bigfoot. :D more props if you can make it shaky and grainy like the patterson video lol. Thanks for the vids though, keep em coming. seems there are a couple others who are making short videos, including a MP firefight. youtube it and sort by most recent.

Just fyi, helmets wont stop a round, even from a pistol unless the pistol is fired from a great distance. They are designed and worn for protection against secondary projectiles like shrapnel but no a direct hit from a bullet. I believe its similar for vests except the vests can stop lower velocity rounds from pistols but not from an ak.

Hello fellow Seattleite. You have a very good point here and I personally am excited to see some missions or a campaign where you play as Russian forces against resistance like a Chechnya conflict or something. Even as a resistance group righting an unconventional war. All of this looks very possible and beyond with the vanilla ArmaII

Things don't look all that good for the AI. The latest videos from gamekult show some urban combat and some of the AI in action. In all honesty I wasn't very impressed with their performance in those particular vids for a couple reasons: In one the player was walking right in front of and enemy and the enemy soldier didn't even react or do anything, he just lay prone looking around. In one of the other vids the player is in the open, shooting at a squad of soldiers and was able to take down 3 that were just standing like statues. I know there has been improvements but I have yet to see a really clear example of this microAI in action or any video showing any real big changes in AI behavior since Armed Assault.
