Ingame VOIP is very essential for a game like ArmA because you have to talk to people to organize your play and you will never ever see enough (it should be >90% to be efficient) people join an external VOIP server like e.g. TS. But also the ability to block single players and "push to talk only" is crucial. All the clan players can join TS AND talk over ingame VOIP. I do this myself.

realistic skill and precision values
Nick667 replied to ColonelSandersLite's topic in ARMA - GENERAL
Hi, what I am searching for is an intelligent (as good as AI can be) enemy but with a lower precision in shooting like it is now and sure I don't want to have bots with RADAR! I think the slider in option menue cuts down both values at once, getting a dumb AI. Not very realistic. Glad to see that the skill of AI is split up. -
Very good point. Because of this limitations we never can get a 100% real battlesim and because of those e.g. a minimap in BF2 has sense because it compensates those limitations (e.g. real world orientation vs. looking on a 2D monitor)! I saw (on TV) a professional F1 pilot (Schumacher) driving a F1 PC-simulation. Even in an authentic cockpit he didn't get one curve correctly! Thus, the flightmodel as to be adapted to gameworld and game developer are aware of this problem AND I think BIS is donig a good job with this 'till now.

A looping with a Blackhawk? I now that this isn't possible. Even with modern attack choppers you need high velocities. But the flight model of AA points in the right direction I think. We relly need a chopper pilot with some comments!

I fly some flying models, also choppers. With this point of view I can say that the flight model of AA is OK (in 1.02). Sure, it is not perfect or 100 % like irl but this is OK, it is a game and thus reality has to be adapted. Sure, there are also bugs but until now BIS is doing a great job in fixing those. I also can fly the choppers in AA pretty well but yet have to get used to. I hope BIS will not listen to just a (loud) minority used to simplified flight models and make the choppers just easier (more OFP or BF2 like). Fix (real existing) bugs and inconsistencys in flight models of different chopper types instead. You never can please everybody! So, a perfect solution could be a "realism slider", so everybody can adjust the flight model (e.g. auto-mixing or auto-stabilizer).
