hmmm, did you try turning off the power saving features? In the following folder location, C:\Program Files\NaturalPoint\TrackIR4\Profiles, what is the file size for each profile?
-
Something to take a look at....... Are you plugging in directly to the system, or are you using a hub? Have you tried isolating the device on the USB ports? Have you tried turn off any kind of power save feature for your USB ports? In the "Device Manager" you can right click the "USB Root Hub"(s), that show, and then select properties. On the power management tab, uncheck the box that allows the computer to turn off the USB port to save power (i.e. uncheck the box). Sometimes that has an impact on the connectivity of the devices.

Sure, you can just disable the z-axis, in the TrackIR software. The profile you will need to edit is the "default" profile, the one assigned by default, if you have changed the autoload profile used for ArmA, then you will need to uncheck the z-axis in that profile.

OK, let me know if you have any more issues.....

Have you gotten the shipping info yet? If you PM your order number, I can take a look..........

TrackIR look & lock (HMD style) possible to do?
NaturalPoint_Vincent replied to ron533's topic in ARMA - ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
OK.....will do........ -
You could try increasing the "Set Priority" for the TrackIR software, within the Task Manager -> Processes Tab -> Right click on the TrackIR.exe file -> Set Priority to AboveNormal.... See if that helps.....

The base shouldn't break easily, where did you purchase it?
-
Does this occur, even when sitting at the system desktop, and looking at the heads view?
-
At this point, I can't really say what maybe in the "pipeline"...
-
I can see the market, down the line.... but currently the hardware is just a little too costly right now, for the average gamer to be able to afford.
-
This would have to be something done by BIS.....
-
No issues, glad I could help out, and let me know if there is anything else I can do for you.

We are currently not looking at any VR "glasses" hardware.

Which version of Vista? On the profiles tab, in the TrackIR software, ArmA is listed in the upper section? When you uninstalled, and reinstalled, did you delete the NaturalPoint folder, on the c drive?
-
1 - What version of the TrackIR software are you running? 2 - Does the blue LED turn on, when you start ArmA?
-
Some USB ports can be slightly under powered, or the power saving features of Windows, can turn them down to save energy... 1- Always make sure you have the latest chipset drivers and/or motherboard bios installed. 2 - Turn off any kind of power saving features for your USB ports? In the "Device Manager" you can right click the "USB Hub"(s), that show, and then select properties. On the power management tab, uncheck the box that allows the computer to turn off the USB port to save power (i.e. uncheck the box). Sometimes that has an impact on the connectivity of the devices.

I'm not aware of any changes between 1.05 and 1.07 - in regards to the TrackIR
-
It shouldn't crash in just one mission... I might look at a key binding conflict somewhere....
-
First of all, diddo what dwinger said. Secondly, I don't think I was being clear because I don't actually enable trackIR zoom. I'm constantly leaning forward and back so that wouldn't work out for me. What I meant to say is the normal field of view (not zoomed at all) seems not zoomed out enough. It seems more apparent with TrackIR because of all the head movement. With no peripheral vision it's like fighting with blinders on. Ahh, ok. I guess i just misread it a bit.......
-
Have you tried sitting forward, then recentering the view, as this will move your viewpoint pack, when you resume your normal position.

recent issue with mouses causes fits of RAGE!!
NaturalPoint_Vincent replied to GAU-8's topic in ARMA - TROUBLESHOOTING
I have heard reports of the view changing in certain situations, tthat ended up being a keysetting conflict of some kind, i.e. had 1 key set for 2 different actions, which only conflicted when doing something specific. Just my 2 cents........ -
TrackIr enhancement called priceless
NaturalPoint_Vincent replied to SlurrpyChillyFries's topic in ARMA - TROUBLESHOOTING
I like the idea, myself. It would add something new to being able to add to a different view, whjat you can already do with the gun crosshairs..... -
make sure you have periodic news check disabled in the TrackIR software, as it could have something to do with the TCP/IP stack....
-
Shouldn't make a difference to the TrackIR....
