I've been playing with X-cam's effects for a few days now and got interested in the 'drop' command for making particles. I've decided to make much more realistic explosions - with lots and lots of smoke instead of hollywood fireballs. But before I really dig into it I'd like to know if anyone had made such effect before. My goal is to make something similar to this: http://www.operations.mod.uk/veritas....yed.jpg

I think you just showed a sign of ignorance by comparing what the nazis did in Europe to the coalition in Iraq. Is it? They were bombing cities (with civilians) to shreds. And lamericans are doing the same in Iraq, as their soldiers are too afraid of close combat with far more motivated enemy.

Actually that's none of your business. But I support the iraqi resistance 110% if that's what you're asking. And naming them 'terrorists' is just a sign of ignorance. What the invaders are doing in Falluja is nothing short of what nazis were doing all over Europe in WW2. And you dare calling the rebels 'terrorists'?? Nevertheless, Falluja will never be captured. It may be destroyed and its occupants killed, but the people protecting the city will never surrender.

If you want to pray, pray for the civilians that are going to die there becouse the attack of the marines. If you want to pray for them, that's fine. But it is more important at this crucial time to support our Marines. Many of them wont be coming home. Pray that they succeed in taking fallujah and that we kill as many of the terrorists that we can there. It is the Marines that are willing to self-sacrifice for the good of our country and to defeat evil. Praying for invaders, that's a good one! They should leave Falluja alone, or face the consequences.

This is awesome! I hope I'll be able to afford a new machine soon, because I really want to fly this sim. I used to play falcon 4.0 a lot. I just love the realism in games.

You're surely joking, that's an awesome idea for a game! Though it doesn't look very promising (another one of those 'budget' titles, I guess ). But it's a great idea nevertheless.

Just what I wanted - the perfect adversaries for the Taliban in Afghanistan missions! They're WAY better than the previous version and I especially like the new snipers - really frightening if you know they're lurking around the Tora Bora... ps: Where can I find the .tga sample for custom armpatch? It's mentioned in the readme but it's not in the rar. -

lol I was thinking more about the roadside bombs. Imagine - you're driving in a convoy of hummvees and the front vehicle suddenly gets engulfed in this huge plume of smoke firefight ensues and so on. It'd be pretty cool.

Open the mission.sqm file and delete the addon name from the addons[] list.

AFAIK init.sqs is a 'global place'? I put the line in init.sqs but the exploding script is still used when the vehicle is destroyed. What am I doing wrong?

Yea, the best 'action' was in the third part, though you had to know answers to all the stupid questions at the beginning to see it all.

Awesome tool! It's complex but i'm sure it will really speed up the mission making once we get the hang of it.

Since the release of OFP2 is far away, I do believe we NEED some physics or ai updates in the meantime. Either with a new official patch or an unofficial one. The limits of the engine are getting more annoying by the day. I'm sure the community could make miracles with the source code. It worked for Falcon 4.0 - it was buggy as hell when it came out, but after the source code was released the community made some amazing patches and updates. It soon became the best simulator you can get.

It looks awesome! Any word on when the release date might be? Will it also include the version seen in the background of the last picture - with Russian/Soviet markings? p.s.: What about custom marking? That would be really sweet!

What's with all the negative comments? If you haven't noticed already I support the Iraqi resistance (duh! ) and I'm happy when they score a victory against the aggressors. It's not that I want to see dead americans and their allies (which is my private thing if I do or don't), I just want to see Iraq get rid of invaders. Hopefully that day will come soon and without too much spilt blood.
