So where is a good place to hook up with other players?

Hello all, I'm wondering if there are any mission depots? I have finished the campaign and all the single missions. I figure there have got to be some websites with new ones to play. Also, I haven't tried multiplay yet, how is that? Anyone care to comment? Thanks

I have been stuck on the same mission and have the same results. The only time I have avoided the Hind I stayed very close to the forest. I was heading southeast towards the original extraction point but a tank blew me away. My problem is that I have not yet heard about the new location for extraction. After trying this about 30 times or so I did the "noobie way" I hit shift then the minus sign on the num pad, then typed endmission and the mission ended. I wonder, does this send you to an alternate mission or is it the same as if you actually completed it? If anyone can offer any more ideas for this it would be great. I will probably go back and try again but frustration got the best of me. Good luck TFTO.

Not sure if this is the right forum, but I'm hoping to get some help with this game. Just bought it yesterday and played for most of the day and night but I've about had it. It has so many cool features and I'm enjoying the real time aspects after playing Combat Mission for so long. But after playing a few single missions and starting the campaign I'm about ready to write off my 35 dollars as a lost cause. So I am turning to the experts on this forum for some help. My biggest problem with the game is whenever I'm in a squad I have no clue what the hell is going on. I basically follow the leader around and do nothing but run and get down. He calls out locations to go to that I can't find, that there are targets at 11, 12 or 1 oclock but I never see them. Another issue is when he calls out to the squad using numbers I don't know who the heck I am. I can only imagine how lost I will be when it comes to me commanding. Something else that really bothers me is how dark it is. In the first two campaign missions I can't see anything. I turned the brightness up to almost all the way but it doesn't help. Is that the same for everyone? I would think I could see farther than 1 foot in front of me at 530am in May. I have looked at some websites for some help, tip and tricks but haven't really found anything that helps. I hate sounding like an idiot, but if anyone can help directly or give me somewhere to find answers I would appreciate. Again, I think this could be a great game and I really want to enjoy it. But right now I'm thinking its back to CM. Thanks.

Thanks for all the help everyone. DnA hit the nail on the head with the graphics card shortcomings. Well, a few hours later and a lot of money shorter, I am all set with a new P4, 256Ram 1.8GB Gateway desktop. I have been putting off upgrading for the last year and decided the time was right. I fired up the games and all my problems have been taken care of! Except that I keep getting KIA. I look forward to playing even more and am upgrading the game to 1.46 tonight. Are there tournaments or anything for TCIP play? Top Gun, I am from Colorado. How about yourself?

I have been trying this one myself and have a question. What parameters does everyone set for brightness on their machines? I can see hardly 10 feet in front of me, let alone the "soldier at 11 oclock" like the CO keeps saying. Currently I have brightness at almost turned up all the way. Is it the same for everyone?

I'm sure everyone will rest easier knowing that I finally figured it out. After trying the next mission a few times it looks like I have a long way to go before I finish it. I think I died in the first 30 seconds about 10 times. Then, because I'm using a P2 with 64 RAM it takes forever to reload. Not good.

Hello, I just bought the game and am having trouble. I started up the first single play mission, played it a few times and finally got to the car but died driving. I decided to get online for patchs, mods etc, so I downloaded v1.30 without the add ons. I fired up the game again and played the same single player mission but now there is no car to be found. I follow the curser and stand exactly where it says the car should be and there is nothing!! Now, am I missing something here or what? I have restarted the game and the same result occurs. Is the car not where the cursor says, or do I need to reload the patch? Any help is greatly appreciated!

Hey Ralph, thanks for the help. I assumed the car would be in the same place each time. If it is in random locations then that is too cool.

Update-I tried again 3 times since my post and the car was there once. Is there a time limit before the car arrives or leaves? Maybe I take too long or when I rush to the spot to see if its there it hasn't arrived yet.
