Thanks a lot dude!

I second that

Yes, it is the full game in a stand-alone patch. Just installed it and used my OFP CD-key and voila. I got both CWC and Resistance addons, missions and campaigns. Now I only need to find my Red Hammer disk and copy over those two files to have everything ready again! Thank you BIS ! :D

arma 2 has encountered a problem and must now close
NetWalker replied to Baz's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - TROUBLESHOOTING
I am having the same problem. After installed patch 1.04, game always crashes. I just resumed the campaign from the last point I saved before update. Is this the problem ? Will test with a single player mission to see if it works. Wish me luck! -
ARMA II & OA available from Sprocket, also BAF and PMC DLCs!

This version is boxed or not? -
So Game2 turned into Arma2? I would say that ArmA2 is a bad name for the Game2 we were waiting. Didn't like it at all! Hope this time BIS learns from their mistakes with ArmA and create a game like OFP. For me ArmA is not a OFP sucessor. It's a new game based on the same engine but with a lot of bugs and flaws that make you not enjoy it. Also, the feeling is not the same. OFP was great, the atmosphere was great. Arma has nothing that OFP already had. We see no improvements. But since OFP 2 (by codies) is also in development and planned for next year, BIS rushed to release info about Game2, else every OFP fan would certainly move to the Codemasters title. I myself will wait and see. From what I saw in Arma, I am not confident on Arma2. But I could be wrong. Only time will say!

Hi, I also experienced a lot of crashes in ArmA after 1.08 patch. As you mentioned, 1.05 was solid like a rock. I don't know what they did in patch 1.08 to break the game the way it is, but I was able to find a solution to my CTDs here in the forums. Here is what I did: 1. Updated forceware to 162.50 (Quadro drivers, but works fine on GeForce 6/7/8 - available at guru3d.com); 2. Set maxmem command to 512 (-maxmem=512); 3. Defragmented my partition where ARMA is installed. 4. During the game, on a 30-minute basis, I use the flush command to flush the VRAM. Most CTDs are due to VRAM fully filled with data, so this command "cleans" the VRAM (press and hold left shift, then press minus on keypad, then type flush) After this, I was able to play for 2 hours without a single crash. I have AMD X2 4200+, 2 Gigs RAM, GeForce 7950 GT 512MB and Sound Blaster X-Fi Platinum. Hope this helps you! Best of luck!

Hi Kubicide, I dropped a PM to Maruk asking some support from developers on this. I didn't have time to test the SB X-Fi audio h/w accel thing, but since your CTDs still remains, I guess we should have any more clarification from the devs themselves. Hope they come here to help us. Regards
-
Wow! great news TB!! Looking forward for new version! hope it comes quick Thanks for still work on this! I only play OFP today because of your mod!
-
Ok, thanks for the tip. I will try that and let you know what happens on me! Regards!
-
Yes, I already did this, but CTD remains... I guess the problem relays on the SoundBlaster X-Fi, based on other topic discussion. It would be good that BIS tell us about the X-Fi support for the game.
-
As said on topic title, when I go to advanced properties of video configuration, the antialiasing has only disabled as an option. The other items are ok (low, normal, high etc). What happened? How can I activate the AA option in my game? On nvidia control panel, the option is set to app controlled. Thanks
-
Hummm... I have a X-Fi platinum on my rig and get CTD everytime I play after 20-30 minutes. I use the GAMER profile on the X-Fi panel. Where do I switch this audio h/w accel off? My actual rig is: A64 X2 4200+ 2 GB RAM GeForce 7950 GT 512MB SB X-Fi Platinum Win Xp Pro 32 bit. I tried all kind of other suggestions (disabling virtual memory, update all drivers and directX, etc.) Still the CTD remains...

What is also so disappointing is the fact that we are forgotten by developers. Why they don't came here to sincerely assume that their game is buggy as hell, that they needed to release it as is to collect some money and they are aware of the problems and are working hard to fix them. Instead, we got no official response. Where's the BIS PR? (Placebo, we need you back) We were forced to buy a game that has so many problems. And I can't agree with people that say the problem is on other people PCs. That's not true. My friends and I have good PCs and the only game that give us headaches is ArmA. All others work flawlessly! GRAW2, the last game I bought is running with all settings high, I can play for 2-4 hours without a sigle crash. As for ArmA, 10 minutes on MP is enough for a CTD. This is really a shame. It's also difficult to believe that ArmA was developed by the same guys who made OFP. OFP was superb!! It had its bugs, but not like ArmA is. ArmA was supposed to be a sequel, and sequels should have at least all its predecessors bugs fixed. That didn't happen. ArmA even introduced a bunch of new bugs. Shame on you Bohemia! Â So with all that ditto, I think I will put ArmA away for a while and try other games. When new patches are released, I will give it another try. Enough talk for now... Â

Ok, I got AA to work. Just switched resolutions and it was available to select again. Weird stuff. Right after, I just joined a MP session. After only 10 Minutes of play, the game crashed. Hey Arkymedes, Nice to see other Brazilians here. Â I was confused as well, so I followed tips on page 43 after my post and I was able to install and play using the mod. Please give it a try. Drop me a PM if you need help.

Thanks nonpoint. I'll try that.

Ok, so continuning with on topic discussion... Well, ArmA is so disappointing for me cause I can barely play it! I got all sorts of crashes and CTDs on my new rig that just makes me nervous. I enjoyed OFP so much, I would like to play ArmA during that great 2-hours coops missions with a lot of team working, play that CTI missions, all the good stuff. It was a great time, but now for me, i guess it ended up unless I see new patches and heavy work on these CTDs that ArmA has. And what makes my disappointment bigger is the fact that ArmA is the only game that crashes. I have a planety of others (like R6 Vegas, Stalker, Transformers, etc) and I play them for hours without any issues! Please, BIS, please fix ArmA problems! Â
-
Hey Sphinx, pal, sorry using your topic, but I have the same problem! and that's driving me nuts! Ok, lemme explain: I have 2 PCs, first one is: Athlon 3200+, 1.5 Gigs RAM, GeForce 6800XT 256MB AGP, SoundBlaster Audigy 2 ZS. In this rig, ArmA runs good and I can play on SP and MP as long as I like without any crashes or graphical issues! Now my problems begins. My second PC is: Athlon X2 4200+, 2 Gigs RAM, GeForce 7950GT 512MB PCIe, SoundBlaster X-Fi Platinum. Although the second PC is better than first one, I can't play ArmA on it! My game keeps crashing to desktop after 15-30 minutes of gameplay, no matter if I am on SP or MP sessions. It just goes to desktop, sometimes with an error on arma.exe, sometimes without showing any particular message, the game just closes!! I'd like to play ArmA on the second PC, since I can put the settings on high and FPS and graphics quality is much better than first PC, where I play with everything on low/normal. Why this happens? Arma does not like dual core processors? Arma does not like the creative X-Fi sound card? Why is it happening? Hey BI, can you please help me? Tell me what kind of logs and I can provide. I just want to know why I can't play it on my best PC! Thanks!
-
I got all these ntdll.dll errors on my logs as well. My game crashes during any SP or MP session after 10-15 min. This is unacceptable. I paid for a game and I can't play it! This is the only game i am facing issues so far! I play other game like Stalker, R6 Vegas and GRAW2 and they all run smoothly. Arma just keeps crashing and crashing  Â

Hi everyone, I am confusing with the FFSX2007 mod. Can anyone kindly point me the sequence for installing this MOD? I mean, what should I get to have latest updated? Links for each download would be appreciated as well. Thanks.

CreateIndexBuffer failed (8876017c) Problem
NetWalker replied to Gremlin0790's topic in ARMA - TROUBLESHOOTING
Same problem here. I got a 512MB video card, and after 30-40min of game play my ArmA crashes with that error. This is a problem that happens for a long time now for a lot of users. That's a shame BIS did not fix it!!!! -
Source: http://www.computerandvideogames.com/article.php?id=164427 Arma is not the only game to be released in the not best possible state, its also a very large, open ended game using BIS unique proprietary graphics engine. Since release BIS have been able to improve and implement lots of things. This means investing income and work/man power on the product instead of moving on.. Have you played any recent PC games published by industry giants? GRAW, R6 vegas, SHIV... these have been released in terrible shape and some were even abandoned early after release, these companies actually have the funds to develop and support better but they are all about consoles... I thank BIS for every single fix, every single patch and for taking comunity feedback into acount, cant wait for 1.08 . Great, good, fine! I didn't know this! But, why devs don't be honest and post this here? Are we supposed to search at all game web sites to find such information? Just create a new open topic to comunity saying the reasons. I am sure almost everyone will understand. What I miss is this. If they start to talking and tell us the reasons, everybody will like to know! I am so disappointed with ArmA, but I can understand. I like BIS and will support them! I bought 3 copies of OFP in the past and will buy two ArmA (I already have one, euro version), but I am waiting for American release here in Brazil to buy it again! Despite all problems, I believe in what BIS can do for us. Long life to ArmA/OFP/BIS/community ! Â

Hi, what is this ctrl-flush thing and how can i perform it? I also updated directx to april, but crashes persists. Shame that no developer came here to tell us something.
