AH-64D Apache Longbow for ArmA2 by Nodunit and Franze
Moggy replied to franze's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
Thanks for the A3 port Franze, it's very much appreciated. I'd like to make a suggestion and that is for a training mission\campaign for A3 as the Apache is a complicated bird! Thanks again. -
=ARC= NATO Offensive Mods (Units & Vehicles)
Moggy replied to soronelite's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
Soron, I'm getting a few errors with your new UK Pack V0.2. When I go into VAS, I get a small popup displaying the following; "Picture\uk_items\data\dpm\icon_backpack_uk_dpm.paa not found" Also the 3 bags listed Backpack, Backpack Medic and Backpack Repair (DPM, Desert and MTP) are all invisible. I thought I'd just give you a quick heads up and please accept my apologies if this is already known. Apart from that, everything else is working a treat. -
Hello all, my games drive crashed recently and I have had to purchase another hard drive to replace it. I decided to reinstall my disk copies of ArmA II, Op. Arrowhead and my digital copy of BAF from Sprocket. After running the setup, it recognised I was re-installing the game. I was asked for my serial code which I entered successfully. I updated ArmA II to 1.07 and then installed OA and finally BAF before updating to the current 1.11 patch. ArmA II runs normally from the desktop shortcut but I cannot run OA or BAF without getting a securom error stating it has detected a hardware change and it requires an unlock code. I've downloaded the securom program from their website but get the same thing. Is it worth completely uninstalling the programs and starting over or should I try contacting BIS for the unlock code? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Reinstalling after a hard drive loss
Moggy replied to Moggy's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - TROUBLESHOOTING
Problem solved, I just had to press back on the securom screen and re-enter my dvd code. Weird thing is, the securom program already had my dvd code as part of the manual activation feature. Oh well, I'm a happy camper once again. Thanks for your help guys. -
Reinstalling after a hard drive loss
Moggy replied to Moggy's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - TROUBLESHOOTING
Hi Placebo, thanks for taking the time to try and help me. I've ran regedit and deleted all the relevant entries concerning ArmA II and Op Arrowhead. I'm no longer getting the "ARMA 2 Operation Arrowhead already installed. Would you like to reinstall the game?" but the securom problem persists (after game launch attempt) where it states "An error occured while verifying your product license. The hardware of your system could not be indentified. A possible reason for this is that parts of your hardware were changed. Please activate your software again." It's asking me to contact my software vendor to manually retrieve the unlock code. What should be my next course of action, an email to securom or maybe BIS? -
Reinstalling after a hard drive loss
Moggy replied to Moggy's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - TROUBLESHOOTING
Any idea about what my next port of call should be? Should I fire off an email to BIS and see if they have any ideas? I'd really like to get ArmA II back up and running soon. -
Reinstalling after a hard drive loss
Moggy replied to Moggy's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - TROUBLESHOOTING
I've uninstalled all the ArmA II components and ran ccleaner, rebooted etc. Unfortunately when I insert the OA dvd (after the ArmA II install), it states that "ARMA 2 Operation Arrowhead already installed. Would you like to reinstall the game?". After installation, I still get the securom popup. It seems to be a registry error somewhere I think. -
Reinstalling after a hard drive loss
Moggy replied to Moggy's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - TROUBLESHOOTING
Thanks for the reply W0lle. The 1 thing I didn't do was run the game after I installed Op Arrowhead and before installing the BAF pack. I'll uninstall the game and reinstall as per your instructions. 1 thing though, do I need to install any patches between the ArmA II and Op Arrowhead installs, or can I just Op Arrowhead directly over ArmA II? -
Just a very quick question. When I'm pilotting a helicopter (let's say an Apache) and I have an AI gunner, what settings should I use for him to make more aggressive and actively search and engage targets efficiently? At time my gunner seems reluctant to engage the enemy. I've performed a search but couldn't find anything. Any help is greatly appreciated.

ArmA II launcher by alpinestars
Moggy replied to CptArmA2's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
Thanks Duke, unfortunately I still get the same result when I place the launcher in the ArmA 2 directory. I'll send the author an email but I think he's stopped working on the launcher for a while...fingers crossed though. -

Moggy replied to CptArmA2's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
No worries Duke, Yes the Arma II Launcher folder does indeed exist in the app data folder and I found those 2 files. I've allowed them through the firewall but to no avail. I've also tried dropping the firewall and seeing if I can run the server browser but again no luck there. I've bunged the launcher into my documents and my desktop but again, no luck with the browser. It's a real head scratcher this 1. I wonder if it was caused by a windows update or something? -

glist.exe doesn't appear on my task manager at all when I click on the server browser. I've checked and nothing is blocking it as far as I'm aware. -
To show my feelings about 2.6, I'll shall quote the great philosopher Lt. George from Blackadder; "I'm as excited as a terribly excited person who has a really good reason for being terribly excited."

Duke, the program is running as an administrator. I have redownloaded it, using the same and different versions but to no avail. Here's what the error message reports and the error message itself; ArmA II Launcher.exe has stopped working Problem Event Name: BEX Application Name: ArmA II Launcher.exe Application Version: 3.1.1.1 Application Timestamp: 4abd129c Fault Module Name: StackHash_4ed3 Fault Module Version: 0.0.0.0 Fault Module Timestamp: 00000000 Exception Offset: 00a52658 Exception Code: c0000005 Exception Data: 00000008 OS Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.256.1 Locale ID: 2057 Additional Information 1: 4ed3 Additional Information 2: 4ed316ef825e82e5d7caec7338e49205 Additional Information 3: 9e94 Additional Information 4: 9e94e454963428286d5d167140124d60 It's a very minor issue to be honest, it works fine (apart from the browser) and now I just start up A2:OA and launch the ingame browser instead. It's just a bit frustrating as it used to work fine but stopped all of a sudden. Thanks for your help, it is appreciated. -
ArmA II launcher by alpinestars
Moggy replied to CptArmA2's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
Thanks for the heads up Duke. I hadn't tried it but after downloading and installing it, I'm still getting the same result...a program crash as soon as I press the server browser button. The program itself works just fine, I can launch ArmA 2 and OA just fine, it's only when I click on the server browser I get the crashing. -

I've got a small problem with the Alpinestars launcher now (v.3.1.0). When I click on the server browser, the launcher crashes and all I can do is close the program. It was fine for a long while but now does this all the time. Does anyone have any idea on how to fix this? Many thanks. -
Attacking Helicopters seems to be too weak.
Moggy replied to ffur2007slx2_5's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - GENERAL
Absolutely correct. There was a program on Nat Geo channel here called Helicopter Wars, the episode titled "Duel in the Desert" covered this very subject. It was a Royal Navy Westland Lynx against an Iraqi T-55 MBT (might of been another tank though) and it was a very close run battle. Here's a short video of the episode: http://natgeotv.com/uk/helicopter-wars/videos/duel-in-the-desert -
Download ConKORD's Proving Ground mission (latest version is on page 2). It's idiot proof, even I can set things up easily whilst using it! http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?t=106611&highlight=proving+ground

RH Hk416 pack 1.2 for OA / CO
Moggy replied to roberthammer's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
I don't use ACE but I thought that was the case. In the previous version of the pack, the 2 magazines were labelled differently so you could tell them apart. In this version they're not, they're listed the same as one another. -
RH Hk416 pack 1.2 for OA / CO
Moggy replied to roberthammer's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
Thanks for the heads up Robalo, on a related topic...does using SD magazines (with silenced weapons) in stock games have any bearing on whether the AI spot you earlier than using standard magazines? Or should I just stick to standard magazines in silenced weapons? -
RH Hk416 pack 1.2 for OA / CO
Moggy replied to roberthammer's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
Thanks for the update Robert, I'm having a slight issue with the magazines for the Hk417. When I go into the Gear screen using the Hk417-20 SD rifle. Both of the available magazines are listed the same so I cannot tell which is the SD mag and which is the normal mag. Here's a screenshot of what I mean... Apart from this minor issue, everything appears to be working fine. -
Pls remove cd check for OA in next patch
Moggy replied to zaira's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - SUGGESTIONS
I wrote this back on 1st July in our squad forums: "Oh, 1 bad thing about OA...you have to redo your keys. However, I reckon you might be able to copy them over from your ArmA 2 profile into your OA profile. 1 thing I like (and ubisoft could learn something here), when I started the game for the 1st time the game gave me 2 options. Either I could start the game with the OA disk in the drive and it'll check for it everytime I start the game. Or I could do a 1 time online registration to register the game using my activation code and forgo the disk check." This was on the European (British) box edition of OA. -
I guess we're just going to have to use a shorter name or abbreviate it. Thanks for the great information and help nuxil. :ok:

Ok, I've uploaded my squad.xml files to a server and everything (logo & text) is appearing ingame. I do have a couple of questions about it though. Is it possible to increase the length of the text of the squad name, at the moment I can see 15 characters, is this the maximum amount of text allowed? Also, is it possible to alter the colour of the text away from the default to say maybe white? Any help and insight will be greatly appreciated, thanks all.

D'oh!!! So it is, I never thought of looking in the scoped weapons section...tis the realm of snipers you know where us mere mortals fear to tread. ;) Thanks conKORD.
