    More fps problems

thanks for the reply heres what i did and it almost works like a charm,.... i've rerolled the omega drivers and installed the NGO drivers i mentioned earlier. After this i've installed powerstrip 3 and gave this geforce 5200 a little nudge, overclocking to 300/400 lol. Then i used Powerstrip to start up the OFPR+WGL with HIGH PRIORITY and MEM CLEANER commands. After this, my frame rate is quite good, considering everything. Okay im running the game in 1024x786 32bit, LOW terrain 1100 VD but I seem to manage a steady 18-30 FPS. Now i should be happy shouldnt i? well a strange little bug has crept in and i cant quite place it. The game is fluid and all, but the responsiveness has gone all weird. in the user menu i have to keep pressing down hard on the mouse buttons to actually succsfully " click " something and in the game my character sometimes doesnt respond, or keeps doing an action (ie running) for some time after i've let go of the key for running, etc. Also the freelook around start giving troubles etc. etc. any ideas???

    More fps problems

first of all HI everyone, and welcome to my first post better late then.......... Anyways before people start referring me to the search button, i've searched the web and the forum yesterday and today and couldnt exactly find what i was looking for. I;ve installed OFPR + WGL (not running DXDLL) on an older PC, specs are: AMD Sempron 2200+ NVIDIA GEFORCE 5200fx (Omega KX1.4403) 528 MB DDR RAM Now i know this is far far from optimal but my question is slightly different. It seems that no matter what i put my settings at, the FPS (taken with FRAPS) seem to always run between 6-18 I try lowering TERRAIN detail ...this does not change anything in FPS. I try changing Resolution, this does not change anything. I try different texture size, no change. Different Drivers. Anything from Forceware 56.xx Omega (44.03 + 61.77) to Forceware 91.xx to NGO 29792 etc.. etc.. not really changing anything at all. The only two things that seems to impact my FPS is the FPS SLIDER in the ingame options menu and the Viewing Distance Now i can live with not being able to play this game however sad that may be, but id like to understand how come all the other settings dont seem to impact my fps. As it is right now i cannot play Battlefields scenario even without WGL. Is that normal? What bugs me most is the fact that all the tweaking i've been doing last two days hasnt changed a single thing. EDIT: i normally play at 1024x768, LOW terrain, 1100 VD
