Thought i'd upload a short battle vid of our TVT gameplay. IC-ArmA is reforming and we are in the initial stages of reforming the armies. We will eventually have a full combined arms experience, with Team vs Team. The format is 3hr continuous battle every Sunday from 6pm(GMT). Some people may remember IC-ArmA from way back to Arma1, then it became Charlie Foxtrot, then Arma Wargames.... IC-Arma intends to bring back some of the old magic and intense 3hr battles of old. Anyway...I intend to continue to produce small vids, but to be honest it's best experienced in person, so if you like PVP in team battles..why not pop over to www.IC-ArmA.com and join in.

Thanks Bohemia.... After a nice 1.2gb install, I can no longer resume my campaign and have to start from scratch again....thanks, thanks a bunch for allowing me to waste hours of my time then putting me back to square one of the campaign. I don't think i'll bother with the campaign anymore..if they release another 1.2gb update (Really 1.2gb update, no new content..more bloatware?) will it force me to restart from scratch...I won't be finding out as I am done with singleplayer. Thankgod for the Arma mutliplayer community...fun still to be had there. I've been an avid supporter of Bohemia for many years, and after the amount of time I have invested in the campaign, to have it taken away from me because the new patch makes my old save game incompatible is just pants! What about the time I have lost playing the campaign Bohemia? Are you going to compensate me for that? I think not........ /Rant.. (Sorry just frustrated guys with losing hours of my time to an update.)
-
Well it hasn't worked for me... 1.30 and I have nothing. Dammit.
-
Ok I will give that a try..thanks. :)

I want to enjoy the game (campaign) but I can't...so what do I do? I don't have the time to spend hours redoing the same thing which took me hours to do in the first place.

1.2gb of fixes to issues..hardly matters when I have lost hours of gameplay. I don't get alot of time to play games, especially ones like ARMA which I love, but I can't invest time in a game when they do a large update and then break the game. (No I can't restart from an earlier mission..I have to restart from scratch) Sorry but Bohemia have really gone and done it now.... I will still play with my mates online when I can, but for the singleplayer side of things, this was a gamebreaker and I can't invest time & passion into a game if the developers keep ruining it. (Yes I know the updates improve an already buggy game...but whats the point in playing if you have to start from scratch everytime there is a large update?)

LoL Yep, gotta love ARMA flight model. Did it again when the pressure was on near the end of the battle @ 7:20. I miss my blackhawk though...(Won't be using Stealthawks during the upcoming campaign..as armed transport choppers always end up being 'funships')

Here's a short vid of the first 'scrim' for ArmaWargames. It's from my perspective as a Mohawk pilot, trying to get 40+ guys on our team to the fight against 40+ guys on the other team who are trying to do the same as us...push the frontline!!!

Having just reverted from the 'Dev Build' to the 'Beta' I have to say that the helicopter controls seem way different. Has there been a change in the helicopter physics (Added weight) with the Dev build, as the helicopters no longer felt like it was modeled on a 'Bee or Wasp' and seem to fly alot better. I have to map my throtle (X52) to the 'analogue collective' in settings as getting any lift with the normal collective was minimal...I then adjusted the that throttle in settings to how I liked it and felt normal. Now switching back to the 'normal' beta build (Still with the same settings on the throttle) my helicopter just shoots up/down like there is no weight. If there has been an adjustment to the physics model on choppers will this come out as an update with the beta soon? (Being part of a PVP community were are changing our tournament from ARMA2 to ARMA3 and I usually am a chopper pilot with both armies, depending on the campaign..but with the current modeling of the choppers...I can see having proper control over a chopper in a tactical situation impossible....**Can't use the 'dev build' with our upcoming tournament as it's not fair on all the others) Just wanted to know if anyone else noticed the difference in the helicopters between the 'Beta' & 'Dev Build'?

Missing xAudio2 file(s) & sound issues
monkman replied to Dwarden's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - TROUBLESHOOTING
Does anyone have an issue with low volume? What I mean is with 1.59 my game volume is very very low...but with 1.58 it's nice and loud. What could be causing this? as I don't really want to go through the whole process of uninstalling ARMA2 and then reinstalling & patching. Any ideas? Thanks in advance. **Solved By applying the latest 'beta' patch 79600, I have now got full sound back again... -
http://vimeo.com/16654179 (Embed wont work on this forum  ) The final battle of Campaign V with Charlie Foxtrot. Massive Infantry fight in Zargabad - with Chopper support only in the form of x2 Chinooks & x2 UH1 for each team. (I gave up my usual Armor role to run one of the UH1's) This battle marks the end of Takistan for Charlie Foxtrot, as we prepare for Campaign VI. We will revisit Chernarus & also some battles will take us to new & different lands. Campaign V was a very close fought and one of the best yet.... Even though Shashka Int. was outnumbered nearly every battle....we adapted and overcame the odds....In the end the last battle was a decisive victory! (Considering we thought Riverstone Inc. was going to wipe the floor with us..lol)

http://vimeo.com/14793314 Here is a vid I made of SI4-Brawlers (Shashaka International) in action during the last battle of Campaign 4 with Charlie Foxtrot. In the video you can see our T72 engage the M1 & Bradley of our opponents 'River Stone Inc.' We lost the campaign...but we fought like lions during the last battle and we were Victorious.... Check out the video and see what you think.... Campaign 5 starts in a few weeks....at the moment we are just in "Scrims" and testing a new game mode. Check out www.cfarma2.com if your intrested in Combined Arms PVP campaign... 100+ players.

British Troops DLC released & Official 1.01 Update
monkman replied to Pauldarrington's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - GENERAL
Hey Zipper5, how you doing mate. CF - Campaign 4 just finished after a hard 8 weeks. RSI was kicking SI's ass near enough every week...they got the campaign, but last night the last battle (Even though they outnumbered us) we kicked their asses big time :) (No offense to anyone in RSI reading this..lol) It was a fantastic PVP battle, and we were truly using combined ops on this one. Hope to see you back someday. Monk (Back on topic now) I aim to get the DLC & also any future mods which RKSL & PKUF & PR put out....YOU all do a fantastic job. (For such a small community) -

Charlie Foxtrot Shashka International - End of Campaign photo call (We lost the campaign against all the guys in Riverstone Inc. But we won the very last battle...We fought like lions) As with all things at the end of the campaign...Once the team photo's were all taken.....Chaos ensues! British Troops DLC released & Official 1.01 Update
monkman replied to Pauldarrington's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - GENERAL
Viper89, sorry to rain on your parade their fella, but there are MBT's in afghanistan... Canada & Denmark both have tanks there, and they do have a certain impact. (Please see this article) Tanks In Afghanistan April 6, 2010: Afghanistan is not considered good tank country, but two nations, Canada and Denmark, have deployed several dozen Leopard II tanks there, and found them useful. The 120mm gun provides a quick way to deal with any Taliban fighting from the fortress like compounds common in the region. The tanks were also well protected against roadside bombs and mines. The tanks were also good for recovering other armored vehicles (like the wheeled personnel carriers and MRAPs). The Taliban were also intimidated by the tanks, which proved more robust than the Russian ones their fathers faced in the 1980s. While MRAPs have become more popular, and plentiful (several thousand are there) because they were lighter, smaller and more mobile on the roads, there were times when the tracks of the tanks could take troops places MRAPs could not reach. Despite those advantages, the United States did not bring in tanks, and the Afghans don't use their Russian models much either. Other nations have brought in some lighter tracked vehicles, and everyone depends on smart bombs (and GPS guided shells and rockets) for heavy firepower. I wouldn't worry about "Challenger 2's" not being in the DLC as I've seen on armaholic (Methinks) of someone working on a Chally Mod. Me, I am looking forward to the 26th as I am at Multiplay's I40 event with a mate and will use their 1GB internet connection.... I wonder how fast it would take to download the DLC with that connection... LOL -
Hi mate I wouldn't bother with profiles....it's easier just to assign different actions to your joystick in the game options within Arma. I set my joystick up in game and combined with my TrackIR setup, flying choppers & jets is a joy...makes it easier to land. (Especialy with a hot lz) Rgds Monkman
