I am new to this board but a long time fan of BIS and their sims. I think it is unfortunate that a bunch of people are running out and buying this expecting it to be a fps. However, they should do their research first, or atleast bear with the game until they fully understand how it works.
I was frustrated at first with Operation Flashpoint. I absolutely hated it. I was in the United States Marine Corps. in 2001 when it first came out, and was intrigued, and fell into what I believe a bunch of people are falling into with Armed Assault. 5 years later and $1,200 spent I am still around and loving these titles. I even ventured a bit with VBS-1 in the Marines, and have since plucked down the money for my own version, and have been modding and creating missions for the past 3 years on it.
I love BIS, and Armed Assault is a blessing. I cant wait for VBS-2 and yes, you are all right. BIS is here for their customers, unlike EA, and other companies. I also look forward to creating realistic, immersive missions for you all, and playing with you all online. How is that for a first post?
I hope all of you guys new to this game/sim take the time to get to know it.
