Ive been doing some thinking about the way damage is inflicted in ofp, wich basicly sux. well you have some simple effects like cant stand up when hit badly in feets, lack of accuracy when hit in hands. but i think you (bis) should add some effects to the next game. Say a bullet hit you in the foot, and the bullet punctured a blood wain, and youre loosing blood. would be fun if this somehow would give you blackouts after a while, and maybe could cause to incountionus and death after a period of time. But it would also be cool if medics could do fix with this somecind and other stuff. (you find stuff about that in some other thread). About the Vehicles, if you played "WWII Online" you know they have a system to vehicles wich cause this and this damage when hit on different places, say you hit close to the engine it could maybe cause it to malfunction, and thats something that would be fun with choppers, puncture the oil tank or something in a plane with a 50. cal sniper rifle :P i dont know if it would be an idea to add different tasks to repair personell, that is if you will be able to do something like that as you can in many games. But you could add it to AI crew.

Ok, were talking realism here. If they are going ALL the way, wich i really hope they do, You'll be starting off youre campaign at a bootcamp. Lets say they have theese "classes", and you could start off wich school you wanted to join, and you have to go trough lets say... an hour or two with training at each "school". this would be awesome, not like the training you get at AA, like 5 minutes or less with the M16 and you are allowed out in the field.and once in battle as a member of a infantry unit you wont get youre hands on a chopper no matter what, but doing youre tasks as an infantry unit. this would give you HOURS after HOUR with fun, cause you could restart and go on another "school" and play as, lets say, a member of a tank crew, oooooooooooooohraaaaah!

what i want to see, thinking that this will be a dynamic battlefield (read the pcgamer preview), a wide variety of weapons. Ok lets say the civilians, they own theyre own weapons (shotguns... pistols ect) cause civilians do, so they could fight you if they get pissed at you. I want to see a wide variety of different weapons available for civilians, cause like what you see in lets say ofp1, You have 1 shotgun... anestly i dont think everyone in the czech republic who owns a hunting shotgun of somecind has the same shotgun. ooo, just got an idea for a ofp2 mod by the way, youre a disturbed and troubled teenager who runs around with fireworks blowing up mailboxes!

Hahaha ok give me a "catchier" name? Operation Counter Strike? please... the OFP2 name was perfect, but as you probably didnt hear BIS split up with codemasters, wich has the copyright sh** on the name Operation Flashpoint.

So after reading the UK PC Gamer PreviewBIS gave them about their two upcoming games (AmA + "Game 2" Ofp2) Ive been thinking. Cause this seems to perfect to be true, i know marek have said before that this game ("Ofp2) will be more like an RPG (Role Playing Game), but after reading this, i finally understand. Ok what we get, is an interactive battlefield, with 2 sides, Blue (US army) and Red (Russia) Both teams have a "general" that is in controll of the whole battlefield and send commands to elements under the general, who sends it further to someone else. so say that a group of us soldiers was ambushed at a spot and didnt give a word from them since they went there, the general could send the closest group to check it out, it doesnt matter if you are in this group, but everything acts on everything in this game. this game isnt like centered on you as the player, its a whole battlefield! get it? (just read it if you didnt understand ) But think about the Multiplayer possibilities, huge battlefields controlled by an AI general on both sides. i cant wait to plant a c4 in the middle of a town and blow up shit and citizens in east and west without them noticing it was me (MUHAHAHA) theyre tractors are going down! I also read that they will do whatever they can to add a deep eco system as possible, this really exites me, i cant wait to go hunting butterflies with my rocket launcher and irradicate all the rabbits with my shotgun i stole from this innocent civilian that gave me an angry look. ill probably end up in this court marshall theyre talking about anyway....

Armed Assault is a game that obviusly many of you are looking forward to. But, many of you have mistaken "game 2"(ofp2) pics and Armed Assault (also refered to as AmA). Armed Assault is NOT Operation Flashpoint 2, you can call it Flashpoint 1.5 but just to make it clear to all of you Theres two coming Bohemia games, ill try as good as i can to make this clear for all of you what is what. You all saw the pictures from AmA and Game 2, and heres some of the only released pictures from AmA: Screenshots from Armed Assault Big Image Big Image Big Image Theese pictures are NOT Armed Assault: Big Image Big Image Big Image This is OFP2 or Game 2 as it got no name iet. AmA will include all of the old Ofp stuff (cold War Crisis + Resistance) + the campaigns and addons + one new island. Hopefully this means what i do hope it mean !!! Also look at This image. its a OFP2 image, look how the walls broke when it got destroyed, That my friend, is OFP2, and not AmA. So dont expect something like that for the game hitting the shelves this winter.

About where AmA comunity is? well i dont know any "AmA" community, atleast not iet, but i guess u can count on www.Ofp.Info to be the most active about the AmA stuff after its release. Since this basicly is Operation flashpoint 1.5 (as people is refering to it) and it will contain the curent ofp stuff that youve seen in all releases. But! AmA will also include new stuff, like a new physics engine (or atleast updated) and some other stuff i forgot what :P
