So I redownloaded the file from sprocket but used their direct download option. My Download Manager downloaded it as a 3.58 GB file named index.php...since I couldn't really install the game as a PHP file I renamed it as index.exe and double clicked on it, then my desktop froze for about 10 minutes, then it prompted for my CD key and began installation Just finished installing. I think next time I buy a game which I have to download I'll use Direct2Drive, I've used them before and its a lot less hassle, arma is a little more expensive through them but it would have been worth paying a few more bucks.

I actually got two files, ArmaGEENG.exe and ArmaGEENG.exe.md5, and no I just tried I am unable to extract either of them.

Just wondering if anyone else out there has had this problem or has any advice. I just downloaded Arma Gold Edition through Sprocket, any it completed the download no problem, but when I run the ArmaGEENG.exe install file nothing happens. If anything the explorer window where the install file downloaded to will just freeze. I've tried running in Compatibility mode for Windows XP, and running as administrator, rebooting several times, but it does the same thing every time, I double click the install file...and nothing.. I know there is a lot of compatibility issues with running the game in Vista, and I'm aware of those, and have also read through the Sprocket Troubleshooting thread, but those are totally different problems (cd key problems, etc)...I can't even get to the installation to run.. Any advice would be appreciated. Windows Vista Ultimate 32 bit AMD Phenom II Quad-Core 3.01 ghz 4 GB RAM ATI Radeon HD 4850 DX 9.0c

I remember a looooong time ago there was a program for OFP that let you control the AI just by speaking into your mic. For example, "One, move west 50 meters" or "All, engage at will". And the AI would do exactly as you said. It would be cool if they did something like that for OFP2.

Well, forum admins, how about making a Flashpoint 2 forum?

It is unrealistic. I remapped my controls so that no button does time acceleration. In real life soldiers can't do time acceleration or decelleration. Why should YOU be able to? There are many moments in this game when I am a black op being sneaky crawling through enemy infested areas. I knew I needed to get to that next bush far away and was going as fast as I could.  I knew time acceleration would make it easier. But things were TENSE, I knew I could get shot at ANY moment.  Sure time changing could make things go faster and relieve the tension, but do REAL soldiers get that luxery?  No, they take the risk, feel the heat, feel the tension.  Sometimes even lose control and start open firing due to the immese anxiety. They don't have any time accelleration or deselleration.<span id='postcolor'> Why wait 10 minutes on a convoy to arrive when you can just activate time exceleration? Also sometimes my vehicle will be destroyed and i will have to walk 1500m+ to the next objective, so time exceleration is great for single player. I don't care if its unrealistic....its a GAME! </span><table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1"><tr><td>Quote (IceFire @ April 10 2003,17:14)</td></tr><tr><td id="QUOTE">Maybe one day they will implement this idea in an ultimately realistic game. See the difference between the building and the mountians in the background. It's Still nowhere near as good as SpaceAlex's screen's, I guess its time to update P4 1.5 Ghz Radeon 7500 64mb 512 MB RAM
