If you are trying to open .3ds files you should use the import command instead of open otherwise it wont import the textures. The crashing probobly has to do with the .3ds files, I've got this problem to. Things that can cause O2 to crash when importing .3ds files: 1. Files exported by Milkshape3d sometimes crashes solve this by open them in MAX and export them again. 2. Tiling and Offset options set in materials in MAX can sometime cause problem, remap your model can solve it. 3. Double sided faces can cause problem 02 dosen't support this solve this by replace them with two simular polygons that faces different direction. Hope this helps.

It works, but its not as fast as using different. And if you are only using one lod than you dont need to call it 0.750 it doesen't matter what you call it. It will still be the same. I think you shall use different LOD though the game supports it.

I have change texture paths through the Face Properties but i takes alot of time since you have do it for every LOD. Is there a fast way to do this?

I have constructed a weapon and it fits well in the hands of the soldier in the game but the problem is it fires 90 degrees right. If I use the the 'scope' the soldier just spins around. How do I set the firing direction for a weapon? How do I tell oxygen where the end of the barrel is?

Can gmax be used for ofp in modd making?
MBergforsen replied to dsawan's topic in ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
GMAX cannot export .3ds format and .3ds is a suitable fileformat for models in this case. But there is a way around it. You can export Q3 format using a plugin for GMAX and you can Import that to Milkshape (free 30 day trial) and then export it to .3ds in Milkshape.
