So, newbies are dumbasses. It's nice to know I'm a dumbass. I feel so much better now that I know my place in the world! I agree with earlier statements, if he wants to use a trainer, or cheat then who the hell is anyone to judge him, as long as it's not in multiplayer (don't always assume everybody who cheats does so just for mp). I've personally used cheats in several past games when designing maps, nothing like god mode to check when bots are going to get activated, and if they're exactly where I want them.

Sure you know, nice pink one with a little flower in it, and metal to. not one of those cheap plastic thingies, keep breaking and your hair just falls in your eyes...or is that Barette.. randomizing how the soldiers would look really cool though, remove that sameness from all the soldiers! Don't think you'd have to muck with the uniforms much though, just faces, heights and body mass!

</span><table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1"><tr><td>Quote </td></tr><tr><td id="QUOTE">But on the racist(segregation ) part,Do you mean like when a black person score 75 points on the test they give him like 10 points because he's black ? But when a white person does it(same test),that his final score. or If a company has too many white people working for their company, they have to fire some white people to let black people get hired <span id='postcolor'> foxer: Actually, that's called affirmative action, and it's a poor bandaid solution to a very real problem! It only breeds even higher levels of racial and sexist stereotyping. Anyway, when I say racial segregation, I mean that in most major US cities, you can find a predominately black, hispanic, chinese,etc.. part of town (not much different from other parts of the world). My point with that was, you used the US's view of itself as a "melting pot" of race and culture, when the hard reality is most foreign cultures are told to leave their beliefs "back home", unless those beliefs don't offend the sensibities of the "average" American. Upon arriving in the US, a very large percentage of these foreign immigrants end up pushed, due to economic and racial realities, into living in ghettos with other's of the same race and cultural ideals, segregated from all others. It's not much of a melting pot. Now, I'm not slamming the US for this, because it's occuring in every major Western nation, and it is improving but it still has far to go, and has little to do with a unique American identity! Don't believe you are a racist by the way.

It's interesting you brought up the racial question, and I think only a matter of time before somebody did. Agreed that there is a large racial mix in the US, however, there is also a very large racial mix in Canada (If I'm not mistaken we have a higher percentage of non-Caucasians here then in the US). Britain has a very large Indian and Islamic population, from what I've heard, although I'm not sure about other countries! Also, in the US there is still a large amount of racial segregation going on, and it doesn't take much reading to find somebody say "If you don't like how we live then get the f***k out of our country", which isn't exactly them most welcoming attitude to cultural differences. Please don't think I am slamming you, or the US, cause I'm not, it's just that I don't think that this point is unique to the US, and is becoming less so over time!

Quick question to Wobble: How does one prove that every man woman and child would fight to the death if invaded? (I'd be interested to see how, really) .</span><table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1"><tr><td>Quote </td></tr><tr><td id="QUOTE">remember to the Japanese the Emporer was LITERALLY a living god, and their god said death is better than surrender.<span id='postcolor'> Actually, the Emperor was under acting under heavy pressure from the Japanese military, who did not consider him a god, or any other kind of supernatural deity! The Emperor, from what I recall, wanted out of the war the generals wanted to fight to the death! PS: I am not debating the moral or ethical reasons behind the dropping of the bomb. Whether it was "right" or "wrong" to drop it is trivializing and oversimplifying the event!

Read, if you liked it try Carl von Clausewitz's book, On War.

Why jump from charachter to charechter? Allow missions to be generated on the fly depending upon the player's position, and what is around them. Mix in targets of opportunity, and a dynamic campaign would have great replay potential! Besides, in real life a units objectives can easily change on the fly, war is a highly dynamic series of events! What is a high priority objective right now, can become a smoking ruin, or the capture of a key strategic point can easily change priorities. I think a dynamic campaign would result in a more life-like feel to the game.

Nah, you need flowers and alot of pot for that!

Humanity continually searches to define itself by it's differences! Rather poor definition if you ask me!

Actually, I find that there's strong nationalistic feeling from citizens of every country. I've yet to find a country that doesn't have it's supporter (from rabid to just proud). Where my question comes from is this. Canada as a country sits, as you well know, just to the North of the US. We are continually bombarded with American news, TV shows, advertising, etc..(I'll leave it to someone else to decide if this is "good" or "bad"). We are also continually compared to Americans by everyone except ourselves, and Americans! Due to this, many Canadians grow up struggling with this idea of a "Canadian Identity". Does it exist, what is. How are we unique? etc... Now, in my travels throughout North America, I've yet to find one single trait that I could peg down as "American", or "Canadian". Like Canadians, American lifestyles differ dramatically from one part of the country to the next i.e. Many people in Maine are more similar to Nova Scotians, and New Brunswickers, than to New Yorker's or Virginians. The isolationism of the US is an interesting angle, but so is China, and so was fuedal Japan. There are several smaller Islamic nations that are also very isolationist (some more so) than the US, so that doesn't really work out well. The strong independence streak, I'll have to think on for a while, it's an interesting angle with alot of very cool tangents (it's rise, it's effects on modern American culture, possible repurcussion's on the future) PS: I'm not slamming, or flaming, but "good' and "bad" are two of the least descriptive words in the English language don't you agree. There's a kind of irrefutable totality about them!

Why is it that when I ask a very reasonable and sensible question, not in any aggressive manner, that I'm being irrational? The point that nobody understands Americans has been made over and over, so I'm asking very seriously, a fundamental question of nationhood! What makes you an American?(other than a piece of paper calling you one!
