I do have something else for you though: http://llw.the-dropzone.net/download/ofp_tools/rtsimport_soldier.rar Please remember that importing an animation first turns and moves the model. Do yourself a favor, and setup your Biped or skeleton on he first frame of an imported animation. After some fudging, I found that using a Biped works best for me.

    Â Â What happens if you add something to the cargo of the carried jeep? Maybe adding an invisible object to the carried vehicle's cargo, will make the nasty looking cursor model to disappear...? Just a hunch. People trying crazy things like this, are usually working on some really neat stuff, for example ways of creating working deeploaders, container-carriers, aircraft that can carry vehicles in their cargo bay, etc. etc. Ath the stage UNN is currently in, things are still rough and can produce rather weird results.     You are right, the explanation is in the rest of the text I didn't clean up yet (the part in italics, which is probably incomprehensible to most people). The selections must first be changed into separate models, imported into 3DS Max and then each part must be named properly in 3DS Max (all manual labor). In short: - delete LODs from the P3D, except the highest LOD (called "original" from now on) - Create a new LOD - In the original LOD, delete the named selections that are not used for animation (Osobnost for example) - In the original LOD, select a Named Selection, copy it and paste it into the new LOD. After a while, you should end up with a complete soldier in the new LOD, which is "invisibly" broken up into pieces. - Delete the original LOD and save the file - Now convert the resulting P3D file to 3DS Max In 3DS Max, all bodyparts will now be shown as separate objects (with a perfect fit of course) - Rename all objects to whatever Named Selection they belonged to in O2. - Make a backup copy of your file in a safe place Importing the animation should now work as planned. (Don't worry about parts now being connected in 3DS, they will be connected in OFP) PS: No I don't have such a model. Plan on making one ASAP. I'm dying to start on OFP animation.

    Eh, yes. As said in the translated readme just above your post... If anyone knows how to save data from GMax to a file, the plugin can be made to work with the free GMax modeller. Writing the RTM file seems to be the only problem with GMax, generating an error: --Runtime error: Feature not available: "fopen write mode" Besides the writing part, the rest works fine in GMax. Too bad...

    A file seems to be missing. The readme refers to a file called "soldier.zip", which will probably contain a soldier model (hopefully even rigged with a skeleton??) The file also seems to describe how to convert a P3D model into something usable for the 3DS Max RTM plugins. I think I should be able to change the Babelfish gibberish into something readable.

    Wow, I didn't see this add-on before. The suit looks really great. This add-on will probably be a hit for the fans. I hope you don't mind me checking out how you did this. The suit looks magnificent, best I've ever seen in OFP!

    Yes. I think AA is really a PERFECT solution. Keeps everyone happy. Or maybe they could have done something different: If BIS had said "OFP2 will be called Armed Assault", and had introduced the real OFP2 as "Armed Asault 2", we would not have had any bull**** topics like this one.

    Technically, it's dead simple: 1- Create a mod folder (Which allows you to juggle things around) 2- Replace all standard faces with the textures based on the new template. (Which will make the new template the norm) 3- Define the original face textures, but only as an add-on pack. (Makes the original faces available, but will not be assigned automatically) 4- Script all units with the original head models to setface one of the original face textures (As the new template is the norm, old models would look fucked up. A script that does a random setface from the original face-collection makes them look ok again) As said, it's dead simple, but it's also a shitload of work. Disadvantage: if you use an add-on with the old (original BIS) head model, his head will look severly disfigured, because it will be assigned the new texture on the old head.

    1- What you are referring to is all just modelling and texturing work. If you don't like it, you can mod it. 2- With your remark, you are assuming there are no more game features than in OFP1. Who knows, this game might have a few revolutionary tricks up it's sleeve.

    Hi, The F-16 MLU is currently on hold, in favor of the YPR-765 PRI (M113 AFV) and International Soldier model II. "Marco Polo" is currently working on his AH-64D pack. He agreed to create an extra version of his excellent work for the Lowlands Warrior project. The LLW version of his Apache pack will have Dutch AH-64D helicopters in several weapon configurations.
