Definitely looks better than the FPS abomination. That being said, I still find the original XCOM very playable so I don't know if I'll pick this up.

Pretty much this. You can tell that few (if any) of the original designers worked on this. And the ending was just a horrible, clichéd mess.

I'm guessing the porn industry will be the first to take advantage of this. :D

I agree, I think that some aspects of the game have effectively been 'dumbed down'. Whether this is a good thing or not depends on what you were expecting from the game. To a certain extent teamwork is more necessary in TF2 then it was in TFC. I feel that this is somewhat forced by the streamlining of the different classes into different area of expertise. Anyway as Trapper says the game is fun enough, I don't think it will have the long-time appeal that previous versions had however, due to it's mainstreaming.
