  1. Thanks for that comment, but quality isn't ideal (->painfull to reduce details from high poly model to acceptable low poly model ;) ).

    Never the less, looks like a very good model mate. Can i know the polycount of it please?

    Yeah true that. Although Modo has many useful tools that make life just a bit easier when it's about retopology.

    The polycount of my model is 3,4K including the mount, battery, straps etc.


  2. There should be some package with tools, tutorials and examples available some time later. Not right away with Alpha launch, from purely practical reasons - all the efforts went to making the actual game first. But I really look forward to support the whole modding thing more, will gladly make some tutorials when all is ready.

    Transfering vehicles - not my area, I would only specualte. But I'm sure they won't be left out in the package, when it comes.

    Gun models are pretty much the same as in A2, except they have extra proxy slots for attachments. But I dare to guess the conversion will be possible with current A2 tools - I once tried to run an old Arma2 AK74 in Arma3 by just replacing the model of existing rifle and it worked pretty okay right away. There might be some difference in named selections and material settings, but overall there shoudl be no showstopping problems.

    Very good news:) Things like that got me wondering for a long time.

  3. I expect the pbos to be fully locked just like the DLC ones. That would mean we can not suit ourself anymore, so I hope we actually get "support" in modding.

    Also I want to remind you of this BIS article in which Maruk stated:

  4. I would like a Simple US Speical Forces Mod that look way better than Vanilla Delta Force Gear. I know theres alot of mods out there but there to big with too many units. I only need like 5 unit types not 30 lol.

    I also for some reason get mayor OCD's when I see the Unit class as, for example "1D SF" instead of "Men".

  5. I'm very happy to see they allow modding in the Alpha. Don't know whether we should expect proper modding support like documentation and samples etc. already too, but atleast we can go explore ourselves. Unless the PBOs and other files are locked just like the ones from the DLCs. We'll see soon enough.
