  1. I´m not sure how GIMP works, but here´s some tips.

    Assuming you can work with layers in it?

    In this case it´s best to start off with the plain green texture of the BRDM2 called "bdrm2_khk_01_co.paa"

    Next step is to copy all parts you don't want to retexture like wheels, lights, exhausts, weapons etc.

    Then desaturate the stuff you want to retex and paint your pattern.

    Again I'm not sure how GIMP works, but in photoshop I would then set the pattern layer to overlay.

    The last step is to add the weathering. Just go to google and search for "gimp grunge brushes". These brushes will help you get good results.

  2. Hey bro, first of all i want to say thanks for a really cool mod. One thing i've noticed though, is that the SD weapons fire really high at 100 m from the target. I know that they're zeroed for 300 m, but I am unable to adjust the sights, and this can be quite frustrating when your rounds fly way over the targets head.

    Thanks for the bug report. Will defenately look into it for the next update.

    For now, just aim lower :p

    The weapon pack looks really nice, but it would be great, to have M4 versions that are actually missing within the current layout:

    1. M4A1 NV; +SD; +M203;

    2. M4a1 M203, SD, RCO...

    Especially for the ACE variant, NV weapons would be an awesome addition.

    I think it would be better to ask ACE for that. They've got magnificant M4 models and all sorts of accecoires models which I do not have. Atleast not in such quantity and quality.

    Quick question about the variants with LLM01, do you have both the flashlight and laser memory points in the model ? Because if yes, an ACE config for selecting between FL and IR function is doable ;)

    No I have not, at the moment atleast. Will look into it for the next update.

    What else is needed to make it more ACE compatible?

    I have the beta since I was a beta-tester back when the addon was still going on, if he doesn't want to send you the beta you'll just have to live with that, pm-ing me and Lennard several times won't really do you any good.

    Soo, anyway Linneard, what's your next project now apart from polishing the L119's (if they need any polish, haven't noticed any bugs so far). I'm curious about what that "massive awesome project" Bink mentioned is. :O

    Yeah some small bugs appeared with the zeroing, kinda forgot about them.

    So will look into fixing that.

    My current activities are related to the UK:F Weapons pack.

    I think you can expect some more info on that in the coming weeks.

    I Keep the current WIP behind closed doors for now.

    And I still have to shoot Bink a PM about that "Massive project" lol.

    "The Diemaco(Colt Canada) C8 SFW, designated L119A1 within the UK military, offers several improvements over the M4 it is based on.

    The main improvements include a hammer forged heavy mid-length (16.1 inches) barrel and beefed up front sight post to mount the HK AG-C grenade launcher.

    It fires the 5.56x45mm round and uses standard NATO 30-round magazines."

    This addon will add 14 different variants of the L119A1 to your game in 3 different camo's, that makes a total of 42 variants.

    The weapons can be found in the ammo box in the editor or added by hand with "This addweapon .. ". The ammo box is located under EMPTY > AMMO > UK Diemaco Box.

    It's fully OA compatible, with it's thermal textures and flash lights and IR lasers.

    Therefor the original Arma 2 and Arma 2 Operation Arrowhead are both required to play.

    The reason they are both required is to support BIS.

    _PF stands for Pathfinder, as these variants are based on the L119s seen with them.

    _SD indicates the rifle is "silenced".

    _UGL indicates this rifle is fitted with the HK AG-C grenade launcher.

    _CQB indicates this rifle is fitted with a short barrel.

    To make the rifle appear in desert or woodland camo, simply add _D to get desert and _W for woodland behind the base classname.
