I'm 19 Years old. I played OFP the first time back in October 2001, when I was 13. Have played it since then. I don't have the full version of ArmA yet, but I have tried the demo and it looked great even on my rusty PC.

Here is my first OFP Movie. It's about the Battle of 73 Easting that happened during Operation Desert Storm. - Download/Stream Link: The Battle of 73 Easting Feedback is appreciated. Â

Beatiful Work!

Wow, my thread is still active. Â Â Anyway I'm currently working on a OFP Movie about The Battle of 73 Easting, that occured during Operation Desert Storm. I will post the movie here, when it's finished. So thanks again for the help, Rebl Man. Cheers

How can I make movies in OFP? Like getting those 3rd Person views "Cameramode". Example: So can someone experienced with OFP Moviemaking, write an easy "Step by Step" guide? I would have appreciated it alot. Cheers.

Thanks Rebl Man. I will check that guide out, ASAP.

Holy Sh1t! Really intensive vids... I want this game so bad...!

Woohoo finally... This is the perfect christmas gift... Just a quick question, is this demo only MP or does it contain SP stuff too?

^That's an pretty awesome idea... --------------------------------------------------------- But a Gulf War 1 "Operation Desert Shield/Storm (1990-1991)" MOD would definatley rock in my opinon. Some of the biggest armored battles in modern times happened during Operation Desert Storm like: -Battle of Khafji -Battle of 73 Easting -Battle of Al Busayyah -Battle of Medina Ridge -Battle of Norfolk There weren't many infantry battles though during Desert Storm, but as stated above alot of armored engagements, and I like the tanks in OFP.... ------------------------------------------------------- New Units that I like to get in ArmA: West (US): - M1A2 Abrams "Main Battle Tank". - M2/M3 Bradley "Infantry Fighting Vechile". - MLRS "Multiple Launch Rocket System". - M109A6 Paladin "Mobile Howitzer". - AH-64 Apache EAST: - T-90 "MBT". - T-84 and older T-xx tanks. - BMP-3 "Infantry Fighting Vehicle". - BMP-1 "Infantry Fighting Vehicle". That's all I can think of now. Over & Out...

Great screens everybody...! The level of detail in this game is stunning... I'm checking this topic much, so just keep the screens coming... I can't play ArmA until March, so I like visiting this great thread...!

I have a system with these specs now: -CPU: 3.4 GHz Pentium 4 "s775". -RAM: 1.5GB "2x512 & 2x256" Twinmos PC3200 "400 MHz" Dualchannel. -Videocard: ASUS GeForce 6800 Gamers Edition, 256 GDDR3. After what I have read in on this forum, it will probably run ARmA on low-medium settings... --------------------------------- Anyway about the my ideal PC for ArmA would contain these specs: -CPU: Intel Core Duo 2.4 Ghz or even a better CPU. -RAM: 2-4GB DDR2 -Videocard: GeForce 8800GTX. When ArmA arrives in Norway, hopefully I have gotten a new similar system like that....

Awesome video there. Nicely edited! ArmA looks great, too bad it's not coming to Noway until Q1 2007. I hope I have a new PC by then, because my PC sux and I want too enjoy ArmA at high settings...

I have visited this forums for some months now as a guest, and when I saw stuff about the FFUR mod I actually wanted to get the GOTY edition of Flashpoint to be able to play this mod. I got my GOTY version yesterday and I have to say FFUR rocks! I like OPF more now after I installed this Mod. The ironsights are well made and the weapons & vechiles looks much better. Great job..!

I have played OPF: Cold War Crisis from time to time since it was released back in 2001. I didn't have any FPS problems with that game, even with the DXdll. Anyway I got OPF GOTY Edition earlier today. I installed it and patched it to version 1.96. I also installed the DXdll config. When I make a mission (Desert Island) in the editor, the FPS is about 30-40 with some tanks and infantry. But when I play a orginal mission from either Cold War Crisis or Resistance, the FPS is as low as 4-10 FPS... I also installed FFUR2006 v2.5, even though making/playing missions in the editor (Desert Island) the FPS is about 30-40 there too, but when tanks are burning/smoking the FPS drops too 20-23, but the FPS is even worse in orginal missions. My PC System Specs: -CPU: Intel Pentium 4 "3.4 GHz" (Socket 775, 1MB Cache) -RAM: 1.5 GB DDR 3200 (400 MHz) 2x512 modules & 2x256 modules. Brand: Twinmos. -Videocard: Asus GeForce 6800 Gamers Edition 256 GDDR3. Sligthly overclocked. (AGP) -Harddrive: Maxtor 200GB "SATA". -OS: Windows XP SP2. I have all the newest Chipset, Sound, Video & DirectX drivers installed. I don't have any background programs up and running while I'm playing games. (Like: MSN, Anti virus programs etc.) OPF GOTY Preferences: Ingame settings: I haven't done any changes in the DXdll exept show FPS. I have tried many settings but without any luck. So, can someone here in the forums give me some advices to get OPF: Flashpoint GOTY a bit more playable... Any help appreciated...

Okay, thanks for the answer...:) I will try your suggestions then. EDIT: Well it seemed to pay off. OPF & "FFUR2006 v2.5" runs about 25-50 FPS in orginal missions and the editor is also lag free with many units. I think the main reason was that I disabled the water reflections in the DXdll config. I think that was the biggest issue. After disabling that, OPF ran smoothly. I also followed some your suggestions, but I didn't mess around with the RAM setup/modules. So thanks for the help...
