That didn't change anything, but changing the mass sure did, I can say for sure that this was related to the mass - mind you I went from 60000 to 500, I guess the game engine is clever.

I'm trying to make an addon float properly, but even with canFloat set to true, the addon is acting like a submarine. How do I choose where the addon waterline will be?

Yeah, I have canFloat set to true, but it still sinks - doesn't 'xplode tho. My problem is that canFloat makes it a water proof tank rather than a floating tank. You'll note that I had mentioned canFloat in the topic description, and the first post

The method championed by Blazin is the best. You can get the name of any unit "on the fly" -
That MiG sure looks like it coulda' been released. Too bad, cause even when the addon is not and never will be complete, I'll bet alot of people would like it anyway.

The gunner being able to see all the way around the vehicle is good news. Â Getting the gunner to pop out of the hatch looks like it could be quite a task.

I am not much of a modeller, but I can figure out scripts and the like. If anyone wants to make a ATGM or MGS version of the model, I'll make it work. Regarding your rear gunner, a script could made to automatically move a soldier with the Stryker, so that it only appears they are in the apc, because of their position, but from the game's perspective, they are actually out of the vehicle. Thereby allowing the turret to function normally. Or you could make a turretless version, and have the hatch gunner be the turret.

I'm trying to make a AIFV float, but it just sinks. What I'm trying to figure out why the BI M113 floats where it does, and then adapt that to my tank.

An array of possible missile types would be feasible if the Stryker is part of MOD, and not intended to be used outside the MOD. There are too many "RPG" type weapons out there to check for all of them every 1/100 of a second.

Pic's of Mascer's excellent work. Nuff said We are interested in contacting someone from DKM mod about using the suspension script, and vehicle burning script (Directly out of DKMM_RSC if possible.  Everyone should have something from DKM that requires it anyway  ). Why reinvent the wheel Â

Favonious: Pictures would be useful. Also, just out of curiousity, what is your opinon of the Stryker compared to a tracked vehicle.

From my recent experience with addons, the more realistic you try to make it act, the more scripts you need, and the more complex they get. Â This makes some addons virtually unplayable in a game situation (at least on my computer, which well exceeds OFP recommended specs). Â By using the simple solution of additional armor, we have a reasonable representation of the effect spaced armor will have on the warhead. Â For example, I'm not sure if your script accounts for something like a maverick missle, which uses a larger warhead, and kinetic energy to destroy targets.

I have a version from Macser, that corrects the weight and proxy positions for the troops. I've asked him to release it. The only big thing missing from it is a drivers compartment, and struts for the Slat armor.

Not sure how to fix that. Think of this as the action movie version of the Stryker.

Even if the T-84 isn't complete, it would still be great to have in OFP.

Any hope of this ever being released?
