do those error messages appear on the very top left of the screen and say stuff I dont recognize? I have gotten errors up there many times.

Yes it is really really annoying when you get to the enemy base to all of a sudden lose control of your chopper and crash into a mountain. I believe the file checks and no addon files should be mandatory for the server. That may stop the hacker/cheating trouble. Is there any way we can turn disable user input back to false/0 after it happens?

Got 2 gigs of ram now, 1 sitting in the case till I can get a pair for it. I still get the lockups every now and again. I believe it to be a heat or power issue still. Its not happening as often now. Just annoying when it does.

Numerous times on Karrillions RTS server, people have started playing just fine then wham! They lose all control of their soldier. The game still goes on but your guy is totally frozen and cant move. You cant even hit the esc button for the menu. The only option is to alt-f4 the game and restart. This has happened to most of the people on the server on and off. Any clue as to what it is?

New update for my issue. I turned the textures from low to normal and experienced a lockup a short time after switching it.

Seemed to be a heat issue, just in case got a new power supply, gig of ram and some vga coolers comming in the mail. I got to play a little over an hour before I had to take off yesterday and it f***ng rocks.

No oc'ing going on. Asus probe reports my cpu at 39C idle. Not sure if thats high or not. I got an EVGA 7800GS with the fan it came with, think that could be overheating?

Current Rig: P4 3.0EE 7800gs 1gig pc3200 SB Audigy 2 ZS 1 Sata HD 2 IDE HD's 1 CD Rom Device The Problem: I start arma and at sparatic periods either in game or in the menu my whole pc will lockup with a sort of screeching/ringing sound through the speakers. Its totally locked up by then have to hard reboot it. It does this at random times. Got any suggestions? Ive seen this happen with other games such as BF2 and BF2142 on my system just very very rarely, With arma it seems to do it every time with out fail. Im at my wits end here people......
