"Had the same prob w/ 1.3 until some nice soul gave me a crack for the patch.  Is that angel still around?" thats prob. the reason why you had the problem installing 1.4  cause you had a crack installed..... my sug. 2 u is unistall op flash then reinstal 1.0,1.2,1.3 then 1.4  or  if you have the US version 1.2,1.3 then 1.4 no cracks. it could be the cause then again it could not.... worth a try all the same. that graphics card is gettin a bit long in the tooth..... have you tried to update your drivers? does it happen all the time or only on a certain map? Â are you using DX8.1? (Edited by Cpt Gamer FtK at 3:45 pm on Dec. 21, 2001)

Yeah and when I installed XP something really strange happened..... Monkey's flew outta my butt.

lol......... dont belive everything you hear.... 256 will be a nice improvement over what you have..... but in my opinion 384-512mb is a very confortable area.... you should have very little if any swap file usage........I would recommend at least 256 if your gonna run XP. and more mem if you can afford it..... the game will only use up to 256mb max... but you should keep in mind your Operating System needs ram too (Win XP) as well as anything else you might have running at the same time (voice programs ..ect.) Ok ruskie I have the Asus v8200 and have tested more than a few drivers with it. I find for me the best ones so far are the 22.50 or 22.80 .......... The official drivers as of now are the 23.11... but I personally was having problems with them...(instant reboots).. I am running on Win XP with DX 8.1 and find that the 22.50/80 give me the best visually and performance wise..... Hope it helps... and no I had no probs with any of the soft ware I just installed the smart doctor software to monitor temps for when I overclock the card....(260/558 air cooled first gen GF3).. okie dokie I do belive there is a memory leak problem that they are addressing now (I hope) might be off the topic a bit but have you tried to use cacheman http://www.outertech.com/ to help manage your memory and set it to clean/free up your mem at certain intervals...... I use cacheman myself with 384mb mem....and XP dont know if you have tried anything like it... and no I dont run a DS (would like to but my connection is only 2 tin cans and some string) (Edited by Cpt Gamer FtK at 9:46 pm on Dec. 17, 2001)

"It started at about 10mb (if my memory serves me) After two days it at 132 mb One time period I seen it up to 192mb after 3 days of usage before I lost power" I think you have your figures wrong no way only 10mb. and 192 mb is not unusual in fact depending on how much you got(memory) it's about normal (Edited by Cpt Gamer FtK at 9:18 pm on Dec. 17, 2001)

(quote)"But to improve public gameplay (G-spy, allseeye). I think that BIS and CM must reconsider... "(quote) Has absolutly nothing to do with BIS or CM get your facts right before you whine...... It is the fault of the stupid ass host and/or the map maker... and theres's not a d*amn thing you can do about it.... my sugestion to you is find a few servers that you can get a decent game in...... most public servers (ones thrown up in the GS lobby) are run by and filled with morons.... dont go lookin for any serious gameplay on them  its basically hit and miss when you float around from server to server. It makes no difference if it is from the same company I have a first geneation GF3 from ASUS (pre Ti) that I can clock to 260/558 with stock cooling and have freinds with the same series that can only get to 220/515...... its's hit or miss basically.... go with what you can afford regardless of brand...

ahh ok, I see

"WE ARE THE ONES THAT BOUGHT OFP FIRST" lol, Stonewall how childish..... just because you paid your money for the game does not give you shareholders rights. now go to your room young man.

" One thing I would like to see would be my whizzing bullet and bullets hitting stuff near you sound effects like delta force has, that would really add to the realism and help to tell if and where you're being shot at. " Well it does have this in the game try using headphones and turn off any background music   I can see my bullet hits on the ground next to opponents. Some maps even have tracer fire on them..... Most of the time I can get direction of fire from the sound(some times the sound goes all screwy but usually behaves)as well as an idea as to the distance of the shooter..when taking cover behind vehicles and such I can hear the bullet striking the ground and the metal of the vehicles...try some headphones it will help.

It's been like that from the start.... needs to be addressed.

My Sys specs...... Â 1.4 t bird (760chipset) Â 384mbDDR Â Â ASUS v8200 GF3 (22.80 det. 4) Â Â DX 8.1 final nothing is clocked..... Any Idea's as to what's wrong or any similar problems anyone???

OBiJuan, What your explaining happens only to XP users I belive...... the double mouse can also be fixed by simply ALT-TAB "ing out of the game then click back in and it's gone...

Gamer replied to Captain Kickass's topic in GENERAL
