    Addamo's c-130 - getting there

The Hercules of the Royal Air Force do not carry weapons at all, otherwise they would have a WSOp on board and they do not, and as from October will be on the UKMAMS unit at Lyneham so i am definate about that

Thanks for the info. I wasnt too sure about the falklands. But i was sure that they didnt carry sidewinders, the C-130J has not got the probe on it, and they can actually swap the probe to either side

erm excuse me. I dont think the RAF had Hercules in the Falklands Conflict, and if they did they didnt have sidewinders. Because there is no room for a weapons systems operator on board. The British only used chinnoks and helicopters to transport the troops and Vulcans and Harriers to attack. So i have read anyway. I have been on a few hercs before adn that one looks dapper

Also the C-130Js have a vibrate problem in the cargo hold, it is being worked on but it means they cannot be used to transport supplies

The RAFs Hercules have no armament, unless the loady lowers the ramp and the troops have a pop at it. In October I will be dropping supplies from them at low level and then the landrovers from high level!
