Since Resistance is comming out soon, I figured it was time to beef up my PC with a new video card (MSI Geforce4 Ti-4200 128MB DDR) and a new sound card (Creative Audigy X-gamer). Â OFP looks and sounds absolutely awesome when I run it at 1600-1200. Â It runs smoother than ever even with all the bells and whistles maxed out. Â I am absolutely stunned by the increase in performance. Â I used to have a Kyro II - 3D Prophet 4500 64MB DDR, which was ok, but not great. One wierd problem with my new set up though.... When it becomes dark outside (in the game) The colors seem to vanish and everything looks like an old B&W Humphrey Bogart flick. Â The colors can still be seen here and there, but only if there is a light shining directly on the object. Â Think of the cute girl in the pink coat in Schindlers List. Â It looks kind of like that. I have'nt figured out what could be wrong. Â The night colors were much more vivid with the Kyro II card. My system specs are: AMD Athlon 1.33GHz 512MB PCI2100 DDR RAM Windows XP (Home Edition) 40MB Maxtor HD Geforce4 Ti-4200 128MB DDR (MSI) Â - Driver: Detonator v.29.80 Creative Sounds Audigy X-Gamer.

I got an error message in the Mission Editor today saying that I had exceeded the maximum allowed units per side. It said only 64 units per side was allowed, and it wouldn't let me preview the mission until I deleted a bunch of them. There has got to be way to get around this. Where do I change this limit. I'd appreciate any suggestions.

I'm looking for "Mikeshell's P3D Texture Swap Utility" or something that does the same job. The one I tried to download from OFPEC is not working. If anyone out there could point me to another site that I could download it from, or if you could just send it to me via e-mail, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

Everything looks black and white at night.

Hmmm....Strange that all the colors were still there when I used the Kyro II card. I've been using 1.46 now for a while. Perhaps it's because the kyro did not have Hardware T&L? That must be it. I guess I'll just have to get used to that B&W thing. It doese'nt look bad, just...different from what I've been used to seeing. Ok, thanks for clearing that up for me. -
Maximum number of units used?
Lazarus_Long replied to Lazarus_Long's topic in OFP : MISSION EDITING & SCRIPTING
Could be, I have a whole bunch of unit's doing their own thing, their own waypoints, etc. I guess they are still consedered a "group" even though they are just one unit. Many of them are just there for scenery, getting the Island to look alive. -
Maybe if you squint? Â It's close.... Limnos Island (Greece)

Closest one I could find was the Island Limnos near Greece. Still not a perfect match... I don't know: An almost square island with deserts, mountains, large plains and a mysterious river running through the middle...hmmm. Nogova may be pretty, but it seems a little bit too odd looking to be geologically feasible. Of course I could be wrong.

I for one will thoroughly enjoy to once again whooping some virtual Soviet szhopa (I have no clue how to spell it). Â You Russians are the greatest bad guys of all time, c'mon admit it, be proud. Â Screw terrorists as the new modern bad guys, they are too inferior intellectually to bear the "arch-nemesis" title. Â I consider them "annoying murdering pests" rather than proper enemies. Â I really miss you red bastards... Hollywood just is'nt the same anymore. Â

You all know that part when the UNATCO guys turn against you, and you are escaping the UNATCO HQ? I just peppered sprayed and batoned them instead of killing them. They were so nice and friendly before they were ordered to kill me! I did the same thing for the Marines at the sub base. <span id='postcolor'> he he....I felt guilty for killing these guys too. I did'nt have the patience for the non-lethal stuff but I stacked their corpses up nice and neat instead of just letting them bleed to death in a lonely corner, I figured I owed them at least that. Very immersive game that Deus Ex.

Just curious, I've seen screen shots of it and everything, but I have yet to to hear how it handles. Â Does it feel like you are driving a motorcycle? Â Does it lean when you turn? Â What happens if you crash, do you wipe out? How fast is it? Â Can you pop a wheelie? Â (the last one was a joke) It looks like I have to wait a while until I get to try it out myself, so please indulge me. I'd apprecaiate it.

Finished it already!! Holy shit, are you trying to set some new record or something? You've got to eat and sleep too you know. It sounds like a really good campaign. I hope it's not too short. You finishing it after ONE day, kind of worries me.

Codemaster won't drop your copy in the mailbox before July 2nd, after that it's up to the mail man. They say to expect it 7-10 days AFTER they send it, but if you live in the U.S. it can take even longer than that. It took 15 days after the release date for me to recieve the original OFP from Codemasters. I pre-ordered it a month in advance. It felt like the slowest 15 days ever. This year I'm just going to wait until the game shop in the mall gets it.

LOL This makes me very happy.

/droool Sounds wonderful, I can't wait.

I just checked with Codemasters. Even if we Americans order it directly through them, they still won't send it out until the 2nd July. What the hell is up with that? Might as well wait until the store get's em. It's blatant anti-American racism!!!
